This is another fantastic product and it is so simple and easy to use, yet it can save the life of your unborn child. Every pregnant woman should have one!
I can't remember how I came to buy mine but I guess it must have been while on yet another trawl through ... ...a bump.' Sadly when her baby was born approximately two weeks later, he was found to have severe brain damage and died soon afterwards. Following a post mortem, they found that the brain damage was in a band across his head which correlated to where the seat belt would have been during the accident. Needless-to-say, I was no longer shy about showing off my Bump Belt and made a point of telling people about what a life saver it was, whenever I could. more

I can't remember how I came to buy mine but I guess it must have been while on yet another trawl through the catalogues while pregnant and off sick (I was on sick leave and practically housebound due to problems with my hips for the last FIVE MONTHS of my pregnancy - aghhh!!).
Initially, I was rather reluctant to let people see that I was using it as I felt they may think I was being paranoid. However, a few weeks after I had it, a friend of mine saw it and asked what it was for. I explained and she said it was a brilliant product and she wished her friend had had one. She told me a very sad story about a close family friend who had had a low impact (10 mph) accident in the car at 38 weeks. She hadn't really thought much about it as it was 'just a bump.' The Baby Safe Bump Belt is basically an oblong pad of material (approx 35 cm by 30 cm) with a loop on two of the corners. The pad is placed on the car seat with the loops to the front of the seat and then all you do is sit down and thread the seat belt through the loops and clip the seat belt in as normal. This draws the lap portion of the seat belt away from the womb, diverting the pressure onto your thighs. This ensures you are safe and your womb and unborn baby are protected should an accident occur.
It is suitable for use from two months pregnant to birth and can be used if you are a passenger or a driver. It is so unobtrusive that you don't notice it is there. However, you do get a real sense of confidence that you and your baby are safe.
It is fantastic. Buy one now! If your not pregnant or not planning to be, buy it and put it in the cupboard and give it as a gift to the next family member or friend to get pregnant! Oh and don't forget, when you have given that one away - BUY ANOTHER ONE!!
