Their is a knack to the click on, slid the clipper to the titanium teeth first before clipping the back. The comb range is 3mm - 25mm in length. The lengths determine the length and choice you want to your hair finish. For those who rather have no length; no clippers are required and the clippers cut down to your scalp, leaving about 1 mm, on average depending how many times you move the clippers around your head. I recommend about two times just in case any stray hairs get missed. The scissors are the professional kind and that is vital. The sharper they are the better. ...for the best - and when i got half way through i looked in the mirror and i was poker straight. So i can actually confirm that they are just as good if not better then GHD - Yes i know - nothing is better then GHD but these are brilliant, i will post a pik of me before and after to prove it lol :) They came with a heat mat where you can place your straightners and not burn anything aswell as clips to seperate your hair. it has different temperatures for your own conveinence and are small and easy to store. They heat up to the max within 30 seconds which is brilliant, not as fast as GHDs 8 seconds BUT still very good. Also included in the box with the straighteners is A Heat protection mat - which is perfect for storing or for use if you are traveling - and 4 sectioning clips which i thought was excellent as with all my other straightners i had bought i had not got any freebies at all. The babyliss pro 230 has a 5year gurantee which is good as one pair of straightners only had a 1 year gurantee and a day after it ran out ( Would You Believe ) They Decided to break and the company would not accpet them back to repair or even look at Which was a bummer !! I would recommend the babyliss pro 230 straightners to anyone thinking of buying a new pair of straightners as these are just lke Ghds but cheaper.
