My hair type is one that I would describe as: desperately needs a hair straightener. Before the age of hair straighteners, I had fierce battles with my hair, and the hair usually won. when i purchased babyliss, they were my first hair straightners, but this was almost 4years ago now. Since this i have attempted many straightners till finally settling upon my futura and ghd's branded straightners. I would not reccomend these straightners to any prospective buyer with thick hair as they do not have the strength with which to tackle frizz or curls. On the other hand the straightners would not necessarily be effective for the thin hair either as whilst the straightners have the strength, they may not be good for your hair. Well I brought these a few years back, as recommend it to my friend as it straightens her hair very well. Unfortunately for me my hair more thick so it takes a little longer to straighten, so that's why I had to go and buy more straightens. Overall this heats up really fast under 2 mins you hear the steam at work or you can see steam coming out. As part of the set you receive two attachments one is a detangling comb and the other a smoothing attachment. this is a great straightner if you have the time to sit and take time to do your hair ! but overall i do think this works although technology is advancing and ceramics have replaced most plates these straightners still DO THE JOB at an affordable price ! so get buying these :-D . Fab set that im really glad a purchased .the downfall is the fact they are really bulky but i do indeed recon these are suitable if your on a budget and besides babyliss are a very reliable company so you know your getting a really well made beauty product.
