Advantages: VERY effective on all types of hair, can make big curls, or thin ringlets
Disadvantages: No light to show when heated up

...When I was given these curlers as a present i was over the moon, they had previously been recommended to me by a friend and they really are the best curlers for gorgeous perfect ringlets, that stay in perfectly for the whole day. I have extremely thick, difficult hair that is already quite curly - just untamed! It's extremely difficult to style but these curlers managed to work their way around it, I found I could curl large sections of hair, for slightly curly hair that looked better than my normal un-styled hair, or I could curl small sections for small, springy ringlets, that looked amazing (but took quite a long time to do!) Many of my friends have, in turn, tried these curlers and I even convinced a few of them to go out and buy some of the same curlers for themselves! ...I first tried these curlers when I went on a night out. I had left mine at home, so I borrowed the Babyliss 2290AU off a friend. I must admit, I do have a bit of a 'love hate' relationship with them. I have medium length hair which is thick, so I liked the way they have a long ceramic coated barrel and I also liked the defined spiral guide on the barrel, which made curling easier. The curling tongs looks good, are simple to use and have ten different settings, making it suitable for most hair types (and good for thick hair). It comes with sectioning clips which were useful in managing my hair, and it is mains operated, so no having to worry about replace energy cells. ...These straightenners are excellent i would recommend them to anyone as you can change the temperature to suit your hair i.e; Thick or thin. I have Really Thick Frizzy Hair and any other straightners would straighten my hair , i would go out side and Boom!! My hair Would frizz up again, i was considering gettin the nicky clarke kinder4hair straightners but unfortunaly they were sold out so i got the babyliss pro 230 straightners. i think it must have been a sign because now my hair is straight even when i go outside Woo! the babyliss' top temperature is 230C which gives your hair an instant shine with out any hair products.
