With summer well on it's way I thought that it would be nice to get that tossled curl look, but unfortunatly I have quite fine flyaway hair so after about an hour or so after doing my hair it looks like a shaggy limp mess.
Then I spotted these great Babyliss Curl and Press spiral tongs in my catologue priced at £28.99, and the ad promised to give long lasting defined curls.
After ordering and waiting patiently for 3 days the tongs finally arrived, I whipped them straight out of the box, plugged them in and quickly read the instructions.
Instuctions:- > Make sure hair is completely dry. > Take a small section off hair approx 1cm x 1cm. > Place end of hair in tong grip. > Gently curl hair under making sure your hair stays between the sprirals. > Press the button to compress hair between the sprirals for 10 to 15 seconds. > Release button and slowly unwind your hair. > If you'd preferre looser curls use bigger sections of hair.
After 5 mins the tongs were ready to use so I set to work. Starting at the front of my hair and carefully working to the back ( which was surprisingly easy to do ). 30 - 40 minute later I was finished, maybe a little time consuming but my hair is quite long with alot of choppy layers through it and it did look fab so was worth the time.
Now that my do was finished the big question was WOULD IT LAST? Well several hours pasted and my hair still looked as if I'd just done it, time for bed and looking in the mirror while brushing my teeth I couldn't help but be pleased with my new tongs and the way my hair still looked.
I got up in the morning and was rushing about to get my boys ready for school so I didn't have time to do anything with my hair, but when I looked in the mirror I was very pleased to see that I didn't have to do anything with it anyway.... My hair was still curly, they were looser and more tossled but still look good ( more natural ), I took my boys to school and saw a few friends of mine and the all commented on how nice my hair looked,no one knew that I Had done them the day before.
The only SMALL problem that I have found with these tongs is that because the grip is alittle small if your not carefull or have silky hair sometimes you'll find that your hair slips out of the grip but this isn't really much of a problem as the more you use these tongs you get used to the small grip and this then tends to happen less often.
All in All I give Babyliss Curl and Press 9 out of 10
