...I would like to review BaByliss You Curl Styler from my point of view (read: point of view of person who has got big problems with making any hairdo, with very heavy looking hair). I'm not going to tell you all technical stuff about it, I'll just simply explain if…and how it works. Since I remember my hair has always looked a bit messy and trust me, I take a lot care of my hair, I spend quiet lot of money each month on all kinds of conditioners, anti frizz serums etc. but that seems not to be enough. I spend also quite lot of time trying to make any hairstyle. I tried all kind of hair stylers, many hair straighteners- few of them just didn't work on my hair at all as they were too thick. I could literally spend hours on making my hair, sometimes it was worth the effort…for something like an hour and then my hair went all messy again... Read review

...I bought my wife a set of these straighteners for her birthday last month - she had been telling me for weeks how good the GHD straighteners are, but as they are so expensive I was under no circumstances to buy a set. I did my homework and compared the specifications of more than a dozen different straighteners. I quickly came to the conclusion that the critical part of the specification to ensure that the user gets 'salon performance' is the temperature and that for the performance to compete with that of the GHD straighteners the temperature had to be in excess of 200 degrees. What drew me to The BaByliss 2099U total freedom straighteners was the added benefit that they are detachable and can be used anywhere. I have never used straighteners myself (not enough hair left these days) but I guessed that it cannot be that easy... Read review

Advantages: Portable, Compact.
Disadvantages: No Different Temperture, Too expensive to run.

...Even though BaByliss is one of the top hair products, this product really isn't worth buying. Although it is portable and compact but it's really not useful for straightening your hair. There is no different temperature settings, which isn't very useful as the set temperature really isn't that hot! The BaByliss 2581U is powered by a Gas cartridge, the cartridges cost around £5 for two, which isn't that cheap as they run out very quickly. You also have to push down very hard on the plates for it to take effect, but then you run the risk of burning yourself. So in experience these straigteners really aren't worth buying, i reccommend you try some remingtons straighteners instead, they might be a little more expensive but worth it!... Read review
