I don't need to wash my hair everyday at home, but on holiday if you have been swimming in the sea or a pool then wash your hair you must before donning the glad rags and going out to wine and dine. Time is at a premium, you need to find the answer to this problem.

Note I said black, it compliments the hairdryer but also stands out against the plug so you are not so likely to leave it behind when you go home! Experience talks! I always like sitting on a comfy chair in front of a mirror to dry my hair, if you need to dry and style your hair I always think it should be made as enjoyable as possible.

A neat shiny chrome and black hard plastic dryer, complete with concentrator nozzle and a nice zipped storage bag, large enough to hold a styling brush and small hair spray or mousse. Plus the adaptor as mentioned above.

A hairdryer of course! Rounded and curvy, like a jet engine I suppose, but much quieter. The handle folds back under the main body with two clicks, making it neat to pack. The main body is 15.5 cm long, or 21cm with the nozzle on and varies from 6 to 8 cm in diameter from nozzle end to back. There is a sliding switch on the handle up for speed/heat II and down for I, the power is 1800. Also on the handle, is a little screw to change from 240v to 120 if you are in a different part of the world using lower voltage. You will need a small coin, nail file or knife to do this! Don't break your nails trying it! There is over 160cm of flex, mine is still a bit kinky so it is difficult to measure exactly, as I store it wound loosely as advised. but it allows plenty of room from a plug. It weighs in at only 540g, so nice and light if you're feeling exhausted after a days sun bathing!

Yes, it does a reasonable job. It is described, as being "Fast drying with acoustic comfort technology for reduced noise". I prefer to use the higher heat/speed setting, but for a child or someone with thin hair the lower setting would be gentler. Babybliss advises fast speed for initial drying and the reducing to lower heat for styling or scrunching. There are also instructions for body and volume, straightening and making waves. It is much quieter than my normal dryer is, which is twice the size and a lower wattage - 1600.

If using with the 120v setting, the maximum use is 10 minutes. It should always be allowed to cool before storing away. The usual warnings about not immersing in liquid, not using near water and not to use if damaged naturally apply.

The filter should be cleaned regularly, using a soft brush, to remove any hair or dust that may have gathered.
