Is this Beliss-imo? a little........
Review of Babyliss 5710 E Beliss by jcduk

Advantages: It does smooth and straighten!
Disadvantages: Doesn't quite produce the 100% perfect result....

I have kinky hair! It's not curly, it's not straight - it's frustratingly kinky with a permanent frizz to it too! It's also very thick, which means if I want to smooth it with ceramic irons, I have to first get it dry. This requires me to either let it dry naturally and it stays fairly flat, or I use a normal hairdryer and end up looking like a poodle! I saw this as I was walking through Costco. Babyliss, known for all their beauty products and ...
...a clever combination of a hairdryer and hair straightener in one. The 1600-watt hairdryer looks like it has a hairbrush stuck on the end of it. This is the straightening attachment. And on this attachment, there are three set's of combs, all doing a different task. The first set, detangle and comb the hair. The second set, straighten the hair. The third set, smooth the hair. It sounded to good to be true! I thought I'd give it a shot and see if it ... Read review

Not a Beliss-ful experience
Review of Babyliss 5710 E Beliss by dancelikeabear

Advantages: Not very many!
Disadvantages: It doesn't work!

...saw the advert for the Babyliss Beliss I knew I had to have one - a hairdryer that straightens?? My word…. that could buy me a whole five minutes extra in bed.... ...Or could it...? The Beliss comes in a slightly 1980s metallic red finish. It is supplied with the straightener attachment and a nozzle attachment for styling without straightening. In terms of technical specifications, the dryer works at 1750 watts. It senses when the straightener ...
...cable is pretty long but mine has kinked really easy when it has been stored. It also boasts "Ionic technology" which is supposed to make hair shinier... The straightener has furry cushioned grips which are supposed to guide the hair through the "Tourmaline-ceramic plates". The straightener has 4 different tightness settings depending on how well you want the dryer to grip your hair. The blurb on the box promised to make my hair silky and shiny... ... Read review

babyliss not for novices
Review of Babyliss 5710 E Beliss by busymum1

Advantages: all in one machine
Disadvantages: instructions not very well explained

I was bought the babyliss hair dryer/straightner for christmas. I'll list the technical stuff first...BaByliss BEliss Dryer Product detail * 1750 watt. * Weight 0.59kg. * Straighten, smooth and shine as you dry. * 9 tourmaline-ceramic coated plates grip and straighten the hair for smooth frizz-free finish. * 4 grip settings for different hair types. * Intelligent system automatically sets dryer to straightening mode when straightening attachment ...
...* Heat balancing ceramic technology. * Ultra slim 8mm nozzle. * 4 heat, speed settings including cool shot. All sounds rather amazing but i think the instructions fall short somewhat!!! I have long hair so i tended to spend 30 mins drying then another 30 mins straightening with ceramic tongs. So hubby thought this would save time as i do have four children! TO be very honest it took just as long and my hair was all frizzy afterwards! It was my first ... Read review

Beliis.... Not for Kids!!!
Review of Babyliss 5710 E Beliss by charlotetc

Advantages: Straightens and drys at the same time
Disadvantages: Takes a while to master it, can get very hot

I brought this hairdryer for my 12 year old daughter, who has me drying and straightening her hair on a daily basis. Unfortunately she is still unable do it herself as she finds it very difficult to use. The idea is that the hair dryer has straightening plates which straighten your hair as you dry. Great concept, not so good in practice. The hair dryer itself has 2 speed settings and a small nozzle for more precise drying. This works well as a hair ...
...straightening plates can be adjusted to different angles for different parts of the head. On the attachment, there is a detangling comb, straightening plate and smooth/shine comb. The idea is to get the piece of hair that you are working on into the detangling comb, feed it through the straightener and onto the smoother in one motion. This takes a bit of practice. The downside is that it takes ages to get the hang of it and when you do it takes ... Read review

Beliss could be better
Review of Babyliss 5710 E Beliss by clairelouise89

Advantages: fairly easy to use
Disadvantages: doesn't really do what it claims

I got this hairdryer as a christmas present last year, and was very pleased to realise it straightens and dries at the same time. The idea is that the attachment with ceramic plates and detabgling combs, id pulled through wet hair. The air and heat from the dryer, dry the hair, and the plates help to straighten whilst the comb detangles the hair. The attachment can be turned in a circular motion, in order to get it at the right angle for the section ...
...drying hair at the sides, as it can get closer to the roots. I have naturally wavy hair, which I cannot stand, and use straightening irons daily. The dryer does make a difference, but not a huge one. It starightens my hair a little bit, but it still remains wavy and slightly frizzy no matter how much time and care I take using the appliance. I still find that I need to use straighteners afterwards to tame my hair. A good point I will make though, ... Read review
