I bought the Babyliss Body Toner at Boots for £19.99 last Christmas. I was looking for an easy to handle massager that would give me a strong and invigorating massage. This item seemed to be it. It has 2 settings: low setting for a relaxing massage (head massage) and high setting for a strong, toning massage.
Before you can use the appliance, you have to plug it in for 12 hours. Once fully charged, I decided to give myself a hips and thighs toning massage starting with a low setting as per instructions (the manual itself is clear and compact). And there it was: I could not feel a thing. So after a couple of minutes I decided to speed up the process and go to the higher setting. Not much a difference it made. It was all too gentle to have any effect at all.
That night, not to be defeated too easily, I plugged it in again for a full 12 hour charge. The next day I repeated the experience on my partner who suffers occasional back pain. I started on his lower back with a low setting, again as per instructions. Then I moved on to the higher setting. After about 20 minutes I asked him if he could feel anything to which he replied "not much".
I still used it for about a week mainly to massage my feet. Now it is stored away in a closet as I could not send it back to Boots once it had been opened and used. I am now back using my trusted old wooden massager that also gives my arms a great workout. Big disappointment!
