Not so simple after all

I like to keep my hair short and neat but not shaved completely off so this means going to the hairdressers ever 2 - 3 weeks for a trim costing 10 pounds each time not to mention the hassle of trying to get an appointment to fit in with hours etc. I decided to invest in a pair of clippers as I thought I would recoup the money within a few weeks on the savings I would make with not going to the hairdressers. I had always put off buying a hair clipper to do at home in fear I would end up looking like Grant Mitchell but when I seen the advert for the BaByliss easy hair clipper it sounded like it was perfect for me.

When the easy cut arrived I was excited to try it out straight away but it needed to be charged for 16 hours before you could use it so I duly plugged it in and waited until the next day.
Unlike traditional clippers the easy cut is circular in shape meaning it fits into the palm of your hand and you can just go over your hair in circular motions without having to worry about going in a straight line from front to back. They also come with a separate precision trimmer to use on your sideburns and fringe.
It has six different length settings to choose from and promises to give an even cut everytime. Hair that is cut is collected in the clippers so no mess to sweep up from the floor. They also auto lube themselves so sounded like the perfect low maintenance item for me.

The first time I used these clippers I was absolutely horrified with how they cut my hair. They are far from easy to use and after going over my hair multiple times I was left with different lengths and patches all over my head. Some parts were noticeably shorter than the grade 4 id chosen, in fact I would go so far as to say they were bald while other patches looked like they hadn't been cut at all.
In the end I had to go to the hair dressers to get her to fix my hair and she did this by shaving my hair all off which I hate as I don't suit it and I spent two weeks looking like a football hooligan.

I was so disappointed with these clippers, from watching the advert they looked like the easiest things in the world to use but after my experience I looked at some reviews and seen that mine is by far what the majority of experiences with these clippers has been and I'm shocked BaByliss would even release these clippers as they are.

I definitely wouldn't recommend these to anyone and it just goes to show that you should read the reviews before rushing into buying something. It's a shame because the idea is great in theory but awful in practice.

I bought mine for £39.99 but i see they can now be bought for £30 if anyone is brave enough to try them.
