5 Stars Even tomboy proof!!! Review with images 30/12/2011

Advantages Advantages so easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a little noisy

Why the Babyliss Big Hair Styler? I’ve been a “tomboy” all my life, and over the last few years, I’ve slowly started to become more feminine – now all of a sudden my nails and hair are a big deal!! As you can imagine, I never asked my mom to teach me how to do my hair, and it’s not something I would be inclined to discuss with other girls... which makes learning to style your hair a little complicated :) My current hair routine – wash, dry and up in a pony tail! I’ve tried a GHD, a barrel wave styler thing, rollers, a wand etc – the easiest to use is the GHD but it still leaves my hair feeling ... more

Advantages Advantages Creates Volume, Hair is shiny, smooth and frizz free

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes some time getting used to how to use.

    * ~ * MY HAIR * ~ * I have always had fine hair which often looks very flat and I don't find it easy trying to get volume and lift in my hair. I have used a range of different mousses, sprays and other hair products to try and create some volume into my hair, and although I manage to get some, I don't get much and it often falls flat after a few hours. I have used products from Boots and have even purchased more expensive products from hair salon's to see if their products are any better. I don't mind my hair looking a little flatter during the day, how-ever when I go out in the evening or a ... more

    Advantages Advantages smooths the hair

Disadvantages Disadvantages kinks the hair sometimes

I bought this a few months back after my 2nd babyliss hairdryer straightener broke. I really liked that hairdryer but it has been discontinued and was difficult to find the second time. I was looking for another hairdryer straightener but could not find one. All I kept coming up with was this big hair dryer that had a brush which I wasn't keen on. I read quite a few reviews and eventually decided I had to go with it as a normal hairdryer makes my hair go frizzy so I need to get the straighteners on it as well. The hairdryer is said to add volume, shine and body to your hair. It is a 700w and ... more

Advantages Advantages leaves hair shiny and looking fab

Disadvantages Disadvantages can take time to get the hang of.

I'm a part of the GHD generation where hair is poker straight and GHD's are one of my holy grail items. However, a couple of years ago the hair trends started to change, and I partly blame this on the X-Factor! Cheryl Cole started a new trend for bouncy locks, and I was desperate to know how I could achieve this look easily at home without the need for a salon blowdry. Then along came the Babyliss big hair, promising a salon style finish with relative ease. --Cost-- The Babyliss Big Hair has the RRP of £45. However, when I came to buy mine it was £20 in the half price sale at Wilkinsons. The ... more

5 Stars For truly BIG Hair Review with images 26/09/2012
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, relaibale, achieves truly big hair look

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

As a person who suffers from possibly the most limp and lifeless hair in the world, I set out on my quest to discover if anything could give me the ‘big hair’ I long for and that is why I bought myself some Babyliss Big Hair appliances. These cost £42 though I have seen them considerably cheaper after I had bought them, which is often the way. When new, my Big Hair came all boxed up in a pretty purple and black cardboard box, complete with a full set of instructions which were very clear to read and understand – together with a wide list of Do’s and Dont’s. The brush itself looks a little ... more
