I bought my wife a set of these straighteners for her birthday last month - she had been telling me for weeks how good the GHD straighteners are, but as they are so expensive I was under no circumstances to buy a set.
I did my homework and compared the specifications of more than a dozen different straighteners.
I quickly came to the conclusion that the critical part of the specification to ensure that the user gets 'salon performance' is the temperature and that for the performance to compete with that of the GHD straighteners the temperature had to be in excess of 200 degrees.
What drew me to The BaByliss 2099U total freedom straighteners was the added benefit that they are detachable and can be used anywhere.
I have never used straighteners myself (not enough hair left these days) but I guessed that it cannot be that easy ...
