I have always been sceptical when it comes to buying an item that ?everyone has/wants?; which is why when it came to the time to decide what to buy to straighten my hair, I was hesitant to select one from the GHD range. Their obviously higher prices seemed to be more for a one of Christmas or birthday present, not something solely for vanity purposes! However, when I came to finally decide to buy this product, I was AMAZED. Truly, coming from someone who loves to do her hair all the time and takes pride in her appearance, this product certainly shaved off so much time from my daily routine. A Very Very Good Hair Day!

Advantages: Heat very quickly, Thin irons are perfect for men and women
Disadvantages: None

. The straighteners themselves, heat up in probably around 8-10 seconds, and so saved me a lot of time. I was already impressed. They are specifically designed to work at a heat that will only straighten your hair and not burn it, as some straighteners are known to overheat. When I started to run them through my hair, my hair immediatly straightened, with none of the fuss of my previous straighteners, and I didnt need to do each piece of hair more than once. They are very easy to use, with a small frame which is easy to grasp in your hand. The thin streamline heaters, are perfect if your hair is shorter, like mine, but also work just as well on long hair. The cord is long enough to stretch a good few feet, so you dont have to hover around the socket (as I did with my last pair). Straighten like a pro!

Advantages: Salon heat. Long cord. Inexpensive.
Disadvantages: On/off buttons easy to knock accidentally.

I have to say I was somewhat of a late-comer to the world of hair straighteners. I was quite intrigued by them in the salons I frequented but having seen the price tags of GHD hair straighteners which I was repeatedly told were THE brand to buy, I was somewhat put off. After all, having never needed hair straighteners before could I justify a £100+ price tag for something I may never or infrequently use? This in mind, (& having tried a 'cheap' set of straighteners which my mum had bought & abandoned in the back of a cupboard...) I spoke to my hairdresser who said that many brands of straighteners were now rivalling GHD's & that the main thing to look for was a set of straighteners whch reached professional heat levels of 230 degrees.
