Babyliss Pro 230 Degrees Total Freedom Corded & Cordless Hair Straighteners

I purchased these straighteners as a gift for my daughter, from Argos for just £17.09 in their sale. Glad I did, as mine decided to stop working on Boxing Day, and she kindly let me borrow them to do my hair!!

I have fine fly away hair, and find that my hair doesn't straighten too easily, unless I use a ton of product. Even then it tends to lose it's straightness after a while.

Upon using these new straighteners, I was pleased to find that they were comfortable to hold, and quite lightweight, meaning they were easy to use.

I found that when using them as a cordless straightener, getting them in and out of the base was fiddly when you were trying to hold a section of hair at the same time, but I eventually got the knack of it. The base does have rubber suckers which would offer some support if you had a surface that they would adhere to. Sadly I did not.

The tourmaline ceramic plates are around an inch thick, meaning that I could straighten good sized sections at a time, reducing the overall time spent on my hair.

The straighteners did a lovely job on my hair, and held their heat well when not in the base unit. When returned they only took a few seconds to re-heat to my preset temperature.

I found long-lasting straightness and a little extra shine on my hair when finished, which was an unexpected treat.

I did find that it left my hair a little static, but nothing that a little hairspray couldn't sort out, and this is more to my own hair type that the straighteners themselves.

Overall, very impressed and I am considering these as a replacement for my own now deceased straighteners.
