I own GHDS and I love the fact that they not only give a poker straight look but also they create very glamorous curls, My friend came to my house the other week and she had just purchased the Babyliss pro porcelain revel conical wand curling tongs and she had done her hair that morning with them, her hair looked so amazing, the best I?ve seen it in years, I love the curls that ghd give don?t get me wrong but these tongs give a more bouncer curl and soon as I saw her hair I fell in love with the tongs, she told me I could try them out the next day, so the next day I went to her house and Tried them on my hair, and I loved them, I also curled my hair extensions with them and they looked fabulous.

Toni and Guy HotSticks are long, thin, red sticks with a metal rod through the middle (to hold heat) which come in a silver storage case, which heats up the sticks when they are placed in it and turned on. I purchased some for about £25 - £30 (never can remember how much I've spent on things!) as it seemed a quick way of curling my hair while I was getting ready to go out and I was fed up of spending ages trying to achieve the perfect look. The hotsticks are a new equivalent of the old "benders" (I know that doesn't sound right, but I'm sure thats what we used to call them!) that used to look like little piggy tails stuck in your hair... you know, the ones your mum used to make you sleep in! Come on girls we all used to have some!! These are a little bit more up to date though.

you have thick hair, I wouldn't reccomend them.
*It takes at least three strokes to completely straighten my (thin) hair.
The good points about these straighteners:
*I like the cool tips. My old straighteners did not have these, and I found myself burning my fingers on the ends!

*The fact that they are slim makes them easy to store and easy to style shorter hair.
*The floating plates provide even pressure
