The Babyliss Whisperjet is my 15 year old daughters choice of hairdryer. Having had to borrow it after my own hairdryer gave up the ghost after 10 years, I have to say that I was impressed.
The look of its chrome and matt black trim make it look very professional and cool according to my Daughter, a must be in a teenagers bedroom. It comes with a wide toothed comb for detangling or as they put it pre-syling, great for combing in mousse and what have you. It also has the usual concentrator nozzle.
My daughter is very lucky in that she has lovely thick hair and being a teenager she is forever washing it. It dries her shoulder length locks in about 7 minutes, yes I timed it with my hairdryer she used to be drying for about 15 minutes and longer.
Now the technical stuff.
The whisperjet is called that for a good reason, its so quiet, having had to use it myself I could still hear the phone ringing while it was running, normaly its my ears ringing.
You have 1800 watts of drying power and even though I didnt use the concentrator nozzle it dried my hair in no time, my hair is getting just to shoulder length and I was done in 5 minutes which included messing around with it as well.
As well as 3 heat settings you get with this dryer you also have the blue button, the cool shot. This is of course a burst of cool air to set your style . I was also impressed to see a removable filter for getting rid of any hair and fluff that may clog the dryer and shorten its life span.
You get a much longer than normal cord 3 metres and I have to say again I was very impressed with this product, its not for me as I find its a bit heavy and awkward but then I am the one at fault there, not the product. A nice touch as well is the hanging loop for easy storage.
Overall its very good value for money, we bought it last year for Christmas and it was £18.99 at Argos. I have seen it as low as £15.00 now, ideal Christmas present.
It gets the thumbs up from my Natalie (so it must be good) and you have half the noise than other dryers.
Happy Christmas and a joyful new year to all. And my daughter did the rating for this out of fairness to the product.
