Alternatively, an optional carry-cot can be purchased that fits in place of the seat, turning it into a pram.

After our previous pushchair, this was absolute luxury. Its alloy frame and free-running wheels make it so easy to push. The front steering wheel is essential. Our previous pushchair had a fixed front wheel which made it much more difficult to manoeuvre.
This is definitely a multi-function push-chair. It can be fitted with arms to take a baby car-seat, and the main seat and hood can be removed to save space and weight.
Alternatively, an optional carry-cot can be purchased that fits in place of the seat, turning it into a pram.
Once the baby has grown, the car-seat can be dispensed with and the main seat reinstated. It fits on easily using very tough press-studs and Velcro straps.
The car-seat adapter arms seem to fit any car-seat - we tried it with 3 different ones, so I guess it's a standard fitting.
The main seat can be reclined into 3 different positions, including totally flat, simply by opening a couple of zips.
The handlebar for pushing the chair is at a decent height, even for me (I'm a 6' 1" dad).
The brake locks both back wheels and works very well with no sign of it ever releasing by accident.
The two rear wheels have adjustable spring suspension which, combined with the chunky pneumatic tyres, must make it a comfortable ride for the baby.
There is a useful mesh bag/basket under the seat - useful for shopping or those things you need to take with you for the baby.
When we received this pushchair, there was some slight damage to the footplate on the front. This part also holds the front wheel, and the damage meant that the wheel fouled the frame of the pushchair, causing it to get jammed. Inspection of the footplate showed it to be a very poor design.
We obtained a new footplate from BabyStyle, and the design had changed. It has 2 reinforcing bars welded on to it, making it much stronger. This cured the problem. I recommend that if you plan to buy this pushchair you look under the footplate. If it has 2 reinforcing bars running from the round wheel spindle to the back, it's a good one. If not, steer clear of it, or ask for a free upgrade.
One disadvantage of this pushchair is that it is almost impossible to fit a Buggy Board due to the suspension system. I managed it, but it took a bit of ingenuity. According to the Lascal (Buggy Board) website, you can not fit a Buggy Board to this pushchair. There is no fixed back axle, so the Kiddy Board can't be used either.
The pushchair is easy to fold up, and you can quickly release all of the wheels. However, folded up, it's still fairly big. I have a fairly small car and with the main seat fitted it takes up a large amount of boot space. If you use the baby car-seat, I recommend you remove the main seat and front restraining bar to save space when you fold it up.
Because all the parts are removeable, it is very easy to clean. We managed to put a lot of the seat parts in the washing machine.
Apart from the design fault on the footplate, which they have now corrected, this is an excellent pushchair. Easy to push, easy to steer. It's a pleasure to use.
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to steer, great off roader Disadvantages: Seat unit is slightly reclined when upright
I am a self confessed pramaholic and hope that by writing some reviews I can help some others!!
The twister was bought as I wanted something for country walks and going around town. I have to say that the twister lived up to both jobs.
It is a comfy ride off road with its sprung suspension but just as happy nipping in and out of shops in the town.
It is easy to collapse and not as bulky as some of the other off roaders on the market. All 3 wheels ... ...unit is spacious and comfortable, although the upright position is still slightly laid back, we rectified this by putting a belt behind the seat on the frame which pulled the seat up.
There are 3 seat postions, the lowest of which is compleately flat so it is suitable from birth, although you can get a car seat abnd carry cot attachment for the frame to make it more comfortable for a newborn.
There is a good pocket on the back of the seat unit ...

Stylish and robust the XTS Twister from Babystyle will make light work of the terrain whether its manoeuvring through the pedestrian traffic or negotiating the off-road trail. The independent variable rear shock absorbers and carefully balanced chassis ensure a smooth ride. The seat unit reclines through 3 positions to lie flat and can be easily removed to accommodate the carrycot. Every Twister comes complete with a fleece-lined seat pad that can be removed and washed, a coverall rain cover and a car seat adaptor that allows you to quickly fit a car seat. Compact and lightweight the Twister is equally happy jogging along tarmac roads, trekking through the woods or twisting through the crowds.
