When it comes to homeopathic remedies I'm a great fan of them as a rule. I am someone though who does take medication from the Dr and is not a Puritan however I do like these in conjunction with prescribed things.

I suffer with depression. On and off I've had it all my life and at the moment I'm on the highest dose of Prozac you can get and not just for depression either, mine are specifically to help with an eating disorder I suffer from.

Although my Prozac do help me keep my temper and help me with my moods I still get down from time to time and go through stages of hating myself and feeling life is too hard to live. Looking in the mirror and feeling I look huge and basically things that alot of us feel from time to time. However with negative thoughts from me I tend to punish myself by eating the house and chucking up and I know that I do this and it's my release system. This is why I opted to try this product out. As I said earlier in this review I am a huge fan of this range and after reading up about this particular remedy I felt that maybe in times of felling low and hating myself this may do me some good!

Now this crab apple product is meant to be designed to help people who are in a very bad way indeed. People suffering with an unclean feeling, people who are feeling despondent and full of shame and people suffering with OCD are meant to be all helped by this. This particular remedy belongs to the group of remedies from Bach that are to help with despondency and despair such as Oak, Willow, Star Of Bethlehem, Sweet Chestnut, Elm, Pine and Larch. You can of course use this tincture along with others from this particular group if you wish too as well. Like I say though this really is for people heavily depressed and at their wits end really.

The Packaging:

Dark brown see-through bottle with a light cream coloured label around it's middle and a screw on/off cap containing a light pink rubber thing you gently squeeze to get the liquid through the clear tube inside to use it.

On the front of the label I am told it is Bach 'Original Flower Recipes' Crab Apple 'Malus Pumila' and the size is stated which in this case is a 10ml size. Around the back of the bottle other information given tells me about how to use it and contact details for Bach are given. Nice enough bottle this is and if your at all familiar with the brand of which is Bach this is the same as all of their other tincture style of products.

How To Use It:

2 drops in a cup of water and sip at intervals, or in 1oz (30ml) bottle of spring water and/or take 4 drops on the tongue at least 4 times daily.

Me Taking It:

Well I take this in a drink or straight onto the tongue and both ways suit me just fine to be honest.

I prefer to splodge it on my tongue to get it out the way opposed to sipping it over time but I can drink it also if desired. Neither way is bad and both ways work for me equally well.

Taste wise this is actually very light on taste. It doesn't taste of anything really although it has a slight hint of a brandy taste to it as it does contain that as it's a preservative used within it. Like I say though it is light in taste.

Does It Work Though?:

Like I find all the Bach tinctures to yes it does for me and of course like all the other products and like I stated at the top of this review you can mix and match remedies up too, and to your hearts content.

I do find this beneficial to me though. I wouldn't at the same time call it a miracle cure but for me it does calm my mind slightly from racing off without me and I do feel calmer so I feel more relaxed and more at ease with myself and the world. Do I look in the mirror and not hate myself? Maybe a little less....yes. My mind gets fogged up after indulging in this so I have less time to obsess over things and it really is a very calming product as promised.

None drowsy formula and easy to take this seriously is and I do think that if your feeling nervous, any self hatred or suffering with a bad self image or OCD over anything this is really worth a try if nothing else! I find it works moderately for me and that moderate help is worth the pennies this costs me!

Expect to pay about £5.99 for a 20ml bottle in places like Boots and other good chemists.
