I first tried my dog on Bakers Complete around four years ago and it has made my dog extremely happy and give him the ability to have a slightly normal life.
Sandy was a resuce dog who was a cruelty case at the local dogs home and i rescued him when he was 6 months old. Not realising he was ill at the time, he was diagnosed with a chronic pancreatic insufficiency by the vet which means he is unable to digest his food properly. This condition is something common in German Shepherds and i was told that sometimes there is a possibility that it can rectify itself or they may have to live with it for the remainder of their life.
He was put on a diet of dried food and always has to have enzymes on his food which helps him digest it a little more and it does work. The food the vets supplied me with cost around £25 per week plus his tablets of £50 for the month, it gets a little expensive with no help from pet insurers who said they would not help.
The food he initally was given he didn't like at and pulled his nose up, the vets said that i could try him on other food but it still might not work along side the enzymes, so i thought i would give it a try and gave him Chappie Complete.... he didn't like it.
I was the reccommended BAkers Complete so i tried him on the BAker Lite to be on the safe side and he loved it. Feeling sorry for him eating the same thing day in day out... i tired him with the regular Beef and Vegetable's and he was fine on that too, as long as he had his tablets.
Bakers from Purina has a wide variety to choose from including weight control, lite, puppy or senior, you can also just purchase the meaty chunks on their own. Flavours include: Beef and Vegetable, Chicken and Rice, Lamd and Vegetable and Rabbit and Duck.
A 1.5kg box costs around £2.49 to £3.19 depending where you buy it from, but it is one of those brands that is stocked everywhere and is normally the main choice of dried food in small corner shops. A 5kg bags costs around just over £10 which lasts quite a while.
The box contains several differemt coloured biscuits:
