Reusable Nappies- Bambino Mio

Advantages: eco-friendly, economical, no nappy rash
Disadvantages: you need to keep on top of the laundry!

We have used these nappies for over a year now for our third child after using disposables for the first two. I went for Bambino Mio because a) I felt very strongly that I wanted to be eco-friendly this time b) They had good consumer reviews- and I did a lot of research and c) I lived near a local stockist at the time, making it easy to get supplies and sample packs. Basically, you have an outer nappy shell with velcro fastenings which looks a bit like a disposable. It has a waterproof inner and a cotton outer. You can wipe down the waterproof inner and reuse this part. Then there is a rectangular cotton nappy that is several layers thick. You fold this and wrap a liner around it and place it in the shell. Review of Bambino Mio Reusable

Ok for mio bambino's caboose

Advantages: Soft, seem to work well most of the time
Disadvantages: Catch on rough skin, can roll up, small

As you may know from seeing other reviews of mine, hubby and I are on a continuing mission to find good, effective nappy liners to use with the "real" (as opposed to imaginary, har har) nappies our 19 month-old son wears. At this rate, I suspect we'll have potty trained him before we find the right ones... Here?s hoping that others will be able to benefit from our experimentation and research! These nappy liners are quite small (about 8" x 4"), which means they fit neatly into the nappy. However, I feel they are actually too small. If your baby moves around a lot - and let's face it, they all do - the liner can move and end up not protecting the nappy from poo... Review of Bambino Mio Liners

Bambino Mio and all they have to offer.

Advantages: Can be used with more than one child to save extra money , 100 % cotton
Disadvantages: Quite costly

the nappy set; this has 12 Mio Nappies and 3 Mio Covers. You can get it in 4 sizes, the newborn and small cost £ 45.95 and the medium and large is £49.95, they do not do it in the extra large. They say this pack has enough for around 2 days, so may be good for keeping in the nappy bag for going out or if baby is spending the night with grandparents or something. I bought my first nappies from John Lewis, however quite a few stores stock bambino Mio, then I started buying directly from Bambino Mio online because it was more convenient and I could make savings such as the 5 for 4 deals, BUT you have to pay £4.50 for postage and packaging, so it's only worth doing if you are buying a big lot and don't want to carry it all, or if you would have to pay more in petrol to get to somewhere that sells Bambino Mio, I bought nappies, Mio liners and Mio ...
