Summer has arrived!
Well lets pretend anyway, you are de-sanding your suitcases, arguing over who is going to sacrifice their jeans so you can fit in those three pairs of new shoes you brought for your annual holiday. You have the sun tan creams in all factors and not forgeting the all important aftersun lotion.
I discovered this product a couple of years ago and have to admit I use nothing else but this product now. I find that it is brilliant for use as aftersun, but has many uses other than aftersun. And you do not have to use loads as a little goes a very long way.
The Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel comes in two size bottles one is a hefty 500ml pump action bottle for around the £5.99 mark and the other is a short and dumpy 230ml bottle for around the £4.99 mark, but at the moment they have an offer on buy the dumpy bottle and get either the Dark Tanning Oil Factor 2 200ml or the spray oil factor 4 200ml for a cool price of just £6.99 (TESCO & SUPERDRUG)
So having some still left in my large bottle thought that I would take up the opportunity to purchase some with the factor 2, as I already have the factor 4.
To my husbands disgust I am very fortunate to only have to show my skin to the sun and turn brown with out the disadvantages of having to burn to acheive that all over golden glow. I still get the occasional bouts of prickly heat, but this product helps no end to remove the sting.
This gel is thick and green in colour and smells very clean and fresh, exactly like you have just split open an Aloe plant and rubbed it into your skin. When applying this product you find that the gel just gets absorbed into you skin quite quickly turning your skin cold, it has natural moisturising effects on the skin which is good to help maintain that long lasting tan, keeping your skin soft a supple, and not like shoe leather.
The other uses for this product are as follows:
Dry Skin
Rough Skin
Skin Irritations
Cool and soften the skin
Minor Burns
And of course* Sun Burn
This product claims it is like having a leaf in a bottle, I say its like having an angle in a bottle. Brilliant for children too, as my daughter has sensitive skin we find we have no problems with this gel.

How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
We bought some of this and took it to Spain with us. I got really sunburnt out there and if it wasn't for this product I would have been in total agony! I fell asleep on the beach for four hours in one position and couldn't move when I woke up. I went back to the hotel and put this all over myself, with a little help from my partner and I have to say it felt really soothing and left my skin feeling really soft. I will definately buy this product again.

Review of Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel
Advantages: Great for sunburn, reasonably priced if you shop around, leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, feels cool to the touch, spreads easily, lasts forever! Disadvantages: Can be expensive if you do not shop around, the kids keep pinching it!
