I have recently got back from a two week holiday in spain and this is why I am writing this opinion!
If it was not for this product myself, my partner and all the kids would have suffered terribly from sunburn!
I bought this product as part of a deal, because it was on offer. If you bought this gel you recieved a dark tanningoil free.
Personally, I think it was the oil that made us burn and that is why they sold this gel with the oil! They knew you would burn using the oil and so they offered you something to help, although, I don't think falling asleep on the beach for four hours in the same position really helped either, when it came to the reason why I got so burnt!
*************PRODUCT PACKAGING**************
This product comes in a clear plastic container. On the top of the container there is a pump action dispenser, that is white in colour.
On the front of the container there is the title Banana Boat, which is in white writing on a yellow background and then Aloe Vera Gel, which is also in white
writing.
On the back of the container there are directions of use, the ingredients list and a brief description of what this product can be used for.
The pump action dipenser is the easiest I have ever used. There is nothing complicated about it. With some these days you have to turn them and then press but with this one you simply press.
One press on the dispenser will dispense enough product for you to completely cover a leg, from ankle to knee.
****************PURPOSE OF USE****************
This product can be used for a multiple number of things. I used mine purely for sun burn relief but you can use it for all of the following things:
Once you have dispensed the product into your hand it really is as simple as to rub it in. The gel will be absorbed by your skin, but not that quick that you will not be able to rub it in effectively.
The gel itself provides easy good coverage. A little really does go a long way, as it spreads easily.
This product has a very pleasant smell to it, just like an aloe vera plant has, for all of you that have smelt an open aloe vera plant.
It is not a heavy scent, but it is noticeable. It will last for a couple of hours, but it will fade quickly, before it disapears all together.
**************APPEARANCE OF GEL**************
The container is clear in colour so you are able to see the gel inside. The colour of the gel is green.
You will see from looking through the container that the gel appears to be thick, but you will notice when you have dispensed some, it is not as thick as it first appears.
Once dispensed, it will sit in the palm of your hand and hold the shape that it has landed in, until you touch it or move it. This means that the consistancy is good, as it will not run through your fingers as you are trying to apply it. Which can only be a good thing!
It really does depend where you buy it from and if it is on offer. Here are the prices that I came across when I bought mine:

********************RESULTS**********************
I'll tell you from the beginning:
I fell asleep on the beach in Spain and my partner and kids decided that I could do with the rest and left me alone. Four hours later I wake up, feeling really hot, but still looking very white! I made my way to the hotel room where I find the kids and my partner.
My partner takes one look at me and tells me I will regret falling asleep for so long, in the morning. I ask him why, and he says I look like a lobster!
I take a look in the mirror and sure enough, I am bright red all over. I run a COLD bath and sit in it for a few minutes. It was too painful and so I got out.
I lay naked on the settee in the hotel room while my boyfriend gently rubbed this gel all over me. My skin was tight and sore and it hurt to move.
As soon as this product touched my skin I felt a refreshing coolness. Straightaway the heat was taken out of my skin and I could move a little more freely. Within 10 minutes of my whole body being covered in it, my skin loosened up and felt incredibly smooth and soft. The redness seemed to fade a little, but not entirely and I felt a little happier.
I reapplied this product a couple of hours later, as I felt my skin tighten up again, and it had the same effect. Loosened my skin and took the heat out of it, making it so much easier to move.
I got burn the worst on holiday but everyone benefited from this product and to be honest, I had to, on a number of occasions, ask the kids for this gel back as they had decided they wanted it and we weren't allowed to use it!
A definate must if you are going on holiday and you require an aftersun lotion that works. The fact that you can use it on skin rashes and burns is an added bonus.
I have not used this product for anything other than sunburn relief and so I can not comment on it's effects for things like skin rashes and burns, but I can tell you that my skin has never felt so smooth and soft.
Even my partner took to using this gel everyday, after he saw how good it worked on me, and he never uses anything like this normally.
If you want soft, smooth skin, then this is the product for you. No cream or gel I have ever used before has ever left me feeling so smooth and soft to the touch! No after sun has ever worked as effectively as this one either.
We took a small 230ml bottle on holiday with us and it lasted 6 of us a week, with three of us using it daily.
Since we have been home I have bought the 500ml bottle, so that we can continue using it, just to keep our skin soft and smooth!
I will never use any other kind of aftersun except Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel, from now on. In fact, I already have a bottle packed in the suitcase ready for the honeymoon in St Lucia next year!
I wholeheartadly recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable aftersun. I have no complaints about it at all.
