Just You Wait 'Til Banjo Tooie!

Advantages: Slighty Updated Graphics/ Bigger Levels/ Lots Of Fun
Disadvantages: Slight slow down/ Home to a out-dated console/ Back Tracking

Banjo Kazooie fans after putting their heart and soul in to acquiring every single golden jigsaw piece in 'Banjo Kazooie' were rewarded with a special ending sequence after the completion of the game, and were informed that a sequel, jokingly called 'Banjo Tooie' would released. The wait for this sequel lasted from 1998 until 2001, and many fans of the original were very eager to grab this game for two reasons. One, it was a sequel to 'Banjo Kazooie', ...
...stars of the game are Banjo the yellow shorts and blue rucksack wearing honey bear. His insulting friend, a rare type of breegull named 'Kazooie' resides in Banjo's rucksack, spitting out her sarcastic comments to other less fortunate characters which are littered throughout of the game.

Following on from the original game, in which at the finale the evil green skinned warty witch, Gruntilda, was defeated by Banjo, she fell from atop ... more

Advantages: Vast levels, addictive, great fun, suitable for all the family
Disadvantages: Repetitive background music

...since the enormously popular original Banjo Kazooie. After what seemed like an eternity, we were finally able to get our hands on the game and get stuck into some serious joypad bashing. We’re now totally addicted, it’s that kind of game, you’ll find yourself saying, ‘I’ll just get this last jigsaw piece and then I’ll stop’. An hour later, you’ll still be totally engrossed! Banjo Tooie certainly lived ...
...much loved roaming adventure game, Banjo Kazooie. The game centres on two stars, Banjo the Bear and his sidekick, Kazooie the Breegull, a type of gull with a big beak and an unfortunate habit of speaking her mind, often to the point of being incredibly rude. It’s an adventure game that continues from where the original left off. At the end of the original game, the villain(ess?) of the piece, Gruntilda the Witch, was disposed of and buried ...

Summer sizziling sequel

Advantages: Colourful, fun, entertaining and opposite of all bad.
Disadvantages: You may need to know your background on the orginal to follow the plot.

...hype as we can take, Banjo Tooie is here and Rare has done it again. Sometimes you think they cannot go wrong. This time they have made a sequel to Banjo Kazooie. Banjo Kazooie was one of the best games of the summer 2 years ago. People thought it could not be improved, well prepare to be proved wrong. Banjo Tooie is set a couple of years after the original. We al thought the evil witch, Gruntilda had long since passed away, but her evil twin sisters ...
...Rare have obviously looked through Banjo Kazooie and picked up on all the minus’s (the few that were there) and made them into plus’s for the new game. Many expected to see a very similar game to the original. Well eh-er. NO! The only similarities you will find from BK in BT are some old faces and old moves. There are new worlds to be explored, new characters to meet and new items to pick up. Also, one of my personal favorites, the ability ...

Advantages: Genius a game that will have you hooked.
Disadvantages: Need to play Banjo Kazzoie to get the most out of the game, Some levels can take too long.

...gave the world Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, Conker and Goldeneye wouldn’t you? You would expect the same company that produced classics such as Conker to deliver breathtaking worlds and environments for gamers to revel in well deliver they have! Rare have done it again by toping everything done previously in platform games and then went and did that little bit extra and if you think that this is “just another platformer” well that ...
...to any other game! Banjo Tooie starts off where Banjo Kazooie left off, after defeating the wicked witch Gruntilda, Banjo and friends are playing a card game when Gruntilda’s two sisters turn up and free her from the rock that had trapped her for so long, and in a rage of revenge she destroys the Banjo household and all that was in it including everyone’s favorite mole Bottles! This does not go down well with Banjo and Kazooie who with ...

...the end of Banjo- Kazooie, Banjo the honey bear, and his good friend Kazooie the breegul are back. What they don’t know, is that Grunty is free to roam Spiral Mountain once again. She, of course, has a small matter of revenge to deal with, and poor Bottles the mole is the victim. So once again, Banjo and Kazooie set off on an adventure to stop the witch once and for all. What’s new? Now, you can replay parts of the game to your heart’s ...

There are also new characters, such as Bottles’ brother Jamjars, Mumbo-Jumbo’s rival, Humba Wumba, ...

The Bear and Bird are Back

Advantages: Superb Sequel from the best in the business
Disadvantages: Same old thing

Banjo and Kazooie were Rare’s first platform game on the N64, it features a bear (Banjo) who carries his friend, a bird (Kazooie), around in his back pack! They had to rescue Banjo’s sister from an evil witch! I’ve got all the other ‘Rare’ platformers, included Banjo Kazooie so I was always waiting for this sequel to emerge. It continues two years after the events of the original and carries on in much the same fashion ...
...as Mumbo or a transformed Banjo and Kazooie, ie not enough of the bird and the bear, but I soon got over this. Also you are able to split the two up once you learn how! Kazooie gets to go it alone! The graphics are top notch as is the sound. The bosses are huge, even bigger than the ones in the first game and to top it all off it is reasonably difficult, more so than the original but it assumed that you have already played that to death. On that ...

The Best Console Around

Disadvantages: Expensive games

First there was Goldeneye, then there was Perfect Dark. These are both absolutely superb games on the Nintendo 64 . . . Read on to find out more . . . . . . The N64 is definitely the best console out there at the moment. With 64-bit graphics and incredible games, it beats the Playstation any day. If you are looking for brilliant games like Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Banjo Tooie, The Legend of Zelda and Mario Tennis, four controller ports for amazing four player action, and fantastic graphics, the N64 is the console to get. There is a wide variety of games to get, some can be quite expensive, and all of them are great fun. There are a good number of Mario games - Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Party 1, 2 and 3. Perfect Dark is said to be the best game, but Zelda has a higher rating. The console itself is now, with one game ...

Review of Nintendo 64

An amazing machine.

Advantages: Many Classic games, Prices for games Falling . Shigsy
Disadvantages: um, none!

The N64 is the best console on the market at the moment it may not have the power of the dreamcast or the amount of games the playstation has , but what it does have more of than any other console is quality games such as Zelda and Mario (both of which recieved the award for being the 'best game of the year' in 96 an 98 )and along with games like goldeneye, mario kart and perfect dark to name but a few it isn't hard to see why it is such an amazing console. And for all those people who say the N64 is dead it isn't it still has at least another 100 games which are being made at the moment which will insure its survival especially as these games include the likes of Turok 3 , Banjo Tooie, Conquers bad Fur Day, Dino planet and Redsident Evil 0. And finally to clear up the misconception that the N64 has few games it already has a library ...
