Excellent service and fantastic location in the heart of London

Advantages: Excellent customer service, immaculate presentation.
Disadvantages: We got a good rate, but I think the hotel could be expensive if you don't get a deal.

We stopped here on a Saturday night during a quick trip to London. I wasn't sure what to expect as I have previously stayed in 4 star hotels which don't really live up to expectations, but this met every expectation. Firstly, the location - this hotel is right in Trafalgar Square and is a 2 minute walk from the Trafalgar Square exit of Charing Cross station. You could not be more perfectly located for visiting any part of London you can get just about anywhere in Central London fairly quickly from this hotel. From the moment we set foot in the door nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were excellent. The check in staff were really friendly and helpful. We also got a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival too! It isn't a traditional hotel reception - there is a large desk in the bar area, but I think that this ...

Review of The Trafalgar Hilton, London

Location, Location is an informative property programme

Advantages: Gives you lots of ideas that you cant possibly afford to carry out!
Disadvantages: None

negotiate with the Estate agents, usually putting in a low first offer. If eventually an offer is accepted then they hail the programme as being successful, a job well done. One thing that must cause immense frustration is when an offer and been accepted, a deal on a property has been all but signed and sealed, then Kirstie and Phil later find out that the couple have backed out and have bought a property in the very same area but one they have chosen completely independently, I am sure I would feel like screaming! Location Location is among one of the best programmes of its kind. Kirstie and Phil make interesting presenters. Gaining an insight into the UK property market is fascinating and we have been treated to tours of many very beautiful homes. At the moment Kirstie and Phil are keen to point out the current problems ...

Review of Channel 4 - Location, Location, Location

Location, Location, Location

Advantages: Ideally located for most of London
Disadvantages: Limited evening eating.

The Corus hotel is based at Lancaster Gate, London. Rather nicely it sits opposite Hyde Park which gives you an opportunity to spend some relaxing time of a morning or evening. Checking in As I arrived at my hotel (paid for by my company) I was quite pleasantly surprised, in the Lobby the walls are covered with a beige marble; this then turns to white paintwork. My initial impression was that the location was a bit fancy for a company placement. I was cheerfully greeted by Wee Wee and Wee Lee who took a lot of time and effort to explain the hotel facilities, the surrounding location and how easy it was to reach my room. This was by far the most professional reception I have ever received in a London hotel. The Room My room had a price tag of £89 per night which included a full English breakfast. My room number was 310 ...
