You would think that Barbara Windsor had herself covered when she had done Eastenders and the Carry On films back in the early days but music was an area she also wanted to cover.
In 1994 she released a 14 track album featuring duets with Joe Longthorne, Mike Reid and Steve McFadden called You've Got A Friend.
She was born Barbara Ann Deeks on 6th August 1937. In drama school, Barbara excelled and won her 1st acting role at 12 where she played one of the babes in a pantomime. The years that followed took Barbara to the stage but in 1962, she won two major roles in films which really brought her recognition, 'Death Trap' and 'Sparrow Can't Sing'. She would sing and dance as a child.
Her voice is very high, a sort of countryish tone to it but I don't think she does justice to most of the songs on her album. The title track is better sung by the Brand New Heavies. I think it would be best that she sticks to acting as Carry On has made her a household name and she has now taken ill so taken time off from her role in Eastenders.
Advantages: They don't take long to read (or write for that matter!) Disadvantages: Beowolf it ain't

...BarbaraWindsor aka Peggy Mitchell in Eastenders is the best! I would love to play a Mitchell. Sam Mitchell is okay, but I wouldn't like to play her, and seeming as though I am way too young to play Peggy Mitchell, I would have to go with someone younger like Sonia (definitely NOT Zoe Slater, she is my most hated character in the history of all soaps in the world! Just had to point that out), as I think my friends would say I am like her as she is quite quiet and sort of reserved - even though I do have a VERY argumentative side!

Advantages: New year, new start, write off your troubles Disadvantages: Adverts!
...So Christmas is over and you've taken the decorations down, the house looks empty and you do actually miss the holly wreath above the front door.
After a mini-bout of depression has washed over you between 29th December and 2nd January, you decide to get that chin up and face another new year head on. And then you turn on the television and see the following adverts that are only ever broadcast in January.....
**CELEBRITY ENDORSED FITNESS DVD**
So I'm getting ready for work and it's 7.30am and the advertisements are on between GMTV. Five were broadcast and three were for these ridiculous excuses for a DVD. They were:
Angela Griffin’s “Dance Mix”
BarbaraWindsor (can’t remember the name)
Nadia’s Latino Dance Workout (or something).
Let’s break each of these down into their individual components and see what benefits...
