I do not often throw my kids birthday parties, as their birthdays fall just after Christmas, and I have to thrown a party for 2 with me having twins loll. This year I thought I would spoil then and have a party.

As my daughter loves Barbie and my son loves Spiderman, I had to have 2 separate tables and 2 lots of Napkins, plates, cups etc, to cater for them both. If I did not get Barbie my daughter would have been upset, so off I went on a journey to try and find everything Barbie, and my was it hard work.

I found these Barbie napkins it was the mermaidia ones. They came in a pack of 16, which was more than enough, I even have some left for the next time she has a party loll. I paid £3.99 for these pack of 16, expensive I know but it was a last minute thing, and I think I could have got them cheaper off Ebay, but I did not have time to wait for delivery, so I paid that little bit extra.

The napkins were very pretty with a picture of Mermaidia in the sea on them. They were about the thickness of toilet roll paper, but they were mainly for decoration, so thickness was not a problem.

If a drink were to be spilt these would have been no good, as with most napkins. So a cloth was used anyway, as you can guess with kids things did get spilt, I never tried using the napkins, as I did not fancy the paper to break up everywhere.

These did what I wanted them to do, catch any falling food, as with my kids and most they are messy eaters loll, and they wiped the dirt off their faces when they got mucky.

My daughter loved these, she loves anything from the Barbie range, and to be honest just seeing her enjoying herself and liking the napkins I bought for her was well worth paying the £3.99 for. The only thing was it cost me double as I had my son to buy for.

Now would I recommend these, definitely I would, just to see the look on your child's face when she walks into a room full of Barbie stuff, even though was only half a room as other half was Spiderman. These napkins never promised to be able to mop up any spillages; it did exactly what it said it would. I would also class these more of a novelty, as you could just go out and buy some plains ones a lot cheaper, but I wanted to spoil my kids and give them a day to remember and that's what I did, with the help of Barbie loll. I would definitely recommend planning well in advance and trying to buy them off Ebay you would probably save quite a bit.

I think I need to stop doing reviews on Barbie, as they always seem short loll.
