Advantages: do what you can at a bank Disadvantages: too serious
I have always found Barclays in general to be great to me and very helpful. I use online banking daily and find it excillent for finding out my bank balance.
I used the new loan site and applied for a £500 loan, I was shocked to find I had been decliend. Yet a month before I was offered a £1000 loan. I cannot understand why they throw money at you when you do not need it, and yet when I am need a loan it is never there.

I find the site itself quite user friendly but I wish they would make the site a little more fun by having competitions etc.
Advantages: You get the money Disadvantages: The rate, insurance, customer service
...tried the loan part of Barclays directly. We rang them and apparently they didn't have access to the records-yes the people who issue the money do not have records of clients they are kept at the branch, apparently these are held at the branch! We eventually found out that a clerical error meant that the branch the account was held at with in St John's Wood and not a local one.
We eventually got all the documents through, rang up the loans people ... ...(the branch that we'd never been to)and after weeks of wrangling, being on hold on the phone, not having calls returned and standing in queues, we finally got them to admit they over charged us by £400 (a mistake with the insurance). We still think they are overcharging interest because of the £400 but we're not sure.
Generally the staff have tried to be helpful but are hampered by their own company
Overall
The package is bog standard, but there ...

Advantages: Easy to apply On-line Disadvantages: High interest rate,
...on line banking facility with Barclays getting a loan is easy.
Once you are logged in clicking on the Barclayloan link will show you your pre-approved loan limit and getting a loan up to this amount is pretty easy. You personal limit is calculated (according to website) by the ay you manage you money in you account.
You can specify either the amount you want to borrow (within the limit) or the monthly repayment you want to make.
If you specify ... ...However the main disadvantage with Barclays is that they charge a high interest rate on the loan and this usually offsets any advantages. My advice if you want an easy to apply loan is to apply for an egg loan which has a similar procedure and charges a much lower interest rate.
This facility is also available only to those who already have a Barlcays current account and are already registered to use on-line banking. For cutomers of other banks ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: No futher borrowing allowed
Before you decide to have a Consolidated Loan from Barclays, make sure
you ask questions. Several years ago we lumped overdrafts and loans
together by having a consolidated loan. After several years we tried applying for an overdraft and Barclays
would not give us one as we had a consolidated loan, and we were then
told we could not have an overdraft until the consolidated loan had
been paid in full. As the loan was for five years, no amount ...

...these banks. I think the Barclays is my first choice, that Barclays is always better for the customer for the financial problems.
About four weeks you can check your bank account, the money will been got. But you must to get the sign from your education institute or local education centre. The loan will be payback from you finish your education and half year term, at moment the interest is 12.9%. It means you do not warry about your money payback ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Barclays Bank Loans"
I can't stand this bank, I have had nothing but trouble. They have abused my trust by sending my endless streams of junk mail to my billing address, credit card offers, loans, mortgages, rubbish. My nearest Barclaysbank have "Training Issues" which means I can't even transfer my money out of their hands and into my far more reliable Smile account. I tried to use the Barclays phone banking system and have been on hold for 1.5 hours before giving up, it seems that I can only ever get through to the phone banking people on a Sunday morning. I held great hopes for the internet bank service they were offering, but it uses PC based certificates thus you can't connect from anywhere else on the net, also they arn't even BSI backed!!! Useless. I will be sticking with Smile.. If only I could get a trained member of BarclaysBank to close my ...

Advantages: options for young people, full range of services Disadvantages: non agreed lending means another £20 a day
BarclaysBank is one of largest British banks and offers a full range of financial services including loans, credit cards, mortgages, insurance and pensions.
The standard BarclaysBank account (for over 18's) offers a bank card and access to an agreed overdraft limit without any monthly fee, however there is sill interest to pay. The interest rate is lower than an unarranged overdraft as an agreed overdraft attracts a rate of 15.6%APR, but non-agreed lending costs a ridiculous £20 per day!
Unlike most other banks, cheques up to £1,000 are available immediately for use with no inconvenience of a 3 day wait.
Other Barclaysbanking service costs are: banker's drafts: £10, stopped cheques: £10, additional statements: £0.50, all quite reasonable really. and euro to sterling currency exchange is free!
And like many banks, Barclaysbanking ...

Advantages: Good even after you graduated. Disadvantages: non
This bank is still good even though you have graduated. There are many many goodies for postgrade. Barclays really take care of graduates, very kind of them.
As a student, we always face the same problem -- money!
Let's see what can Barclay do for us.
There is a £1800 interest-free overdraft, tempting! On top of that, a graduate can loan up to £10,000 with 3 month repayment holiday. Barclay also catch up with the new era of banking style, they provide also FREE on-line banking and FREE internet access.
Do you like that?
And you can also apply for a Graduate Barclay Card. ...
