So, I clicked on to their web-site. First impressions, was that it was very well organised, nice blue colour not to strong. Quite a lot of information, and I liked the layout of the main text in the middle, surrounded by all the options.
Well, I had never done online banking before, but I really wanted to. So, I was very grateful when yu could have a quick demonstration about the service they offered. I did think that very clever, as many people like myself where new to online banking.
I was very impressed, more by the simplicity of the whole thing. It was so easy to pay bills. The format was so easy to follow, you could pay bills in a second, check you’re own balance and transactions, transfer money between accounts all at the click of a button. My reaction, very impressive.
Without wanting to be a internet addict, and doing everything from the internet, I was so impressed by the simplicity of the service, and also impressed by their security levels, so account details were not passed on. I did sign up.
As, I live in a small area, I do find that when I want to go to the Bank it is closed after 3pm, so this is a great way to sought my finances out, when I want to. Banks are closed on weekends but not online banking. Another great advantage.

Make sure you have a password that only you know, so nobody using your computer will be access to your account details, and never tell anyone your password.
I, know they might sound like simple advice, but you never know. For anyone who wants to try online banking but is apprehensive try Barclays, it is so simple, that's why I like about it.
Advantages: Easy to set-up, easy to use, security like fort knox Disadvantages: you have to wait for passcodes to come in post, you can't pay in money (obviously!!)
