I agree with previous reviewer. Barclays internet is appalling. I have tried to get internet access for my parents' accounts (I have 3rd party authority) and last week (4 months later!) I finally got access. Reasons: 1) They ignored my application 2) I went to the branch - they applied - they ignored the branch's application 3) The branch rang up and were told internet access was imminent 4) 2 weeks later they blamed it on the postal strike 5) 2 weeks later again the branch rang up for me and then the internet department admitted they had sat on the application because there was a fault in the system - they would never have given me access if I had not chased 6) The local branch manager escalated and finally (4 months later) I got access on the day my father passed away. 7) 3 days after that my access was removed for my mother for no reason - they referred me to the branch 8) Today I ring the branch - they assure me that the internet people have restored access (no reason why it was taken away) - I try to login but fail again - I am now waiting to see if it works in half an hour else back to the branch! 9) Oh and if you ever ring the internet people they don't like helping you - they frequently cut you off, make you wait for ages or tell me they need to speak to my father - they just didn't get it - the reason I need 3rd party authority and internet access was that my father was in hospital, seriously ill. 10) AVOID BARCLAYS INTERNET at all costs(the branch people are good though 11) I am seriously considering moving my mothers accounts to another bank but I am terrified of how long Barclays will take to transfer and how much more incompetence I can stand

Advantages: It is so easy to use Barclays Online Bank and it is very secure! Disadvantages: It takes it's security very serious, but a little too serious! If you click twice instead of once in your account area you are logged off!
Advantages: Easy to set-up, easy to use, security like fort knox Disadvantages: you have to wait for passcodes to come in post, you can't pay in money (obviously!!)
