I have recently joined Barclays.net and have found them reasonably good. As long as you are a customer of them, they give you internet access and an e-mail address. Unlike other free ISPs, there are no banner adds etc slowing them down. I have not had any technical problems so cannot really comment on the technical support although it looks like you can phone or e-mail them. There is a limit to how much you can have in your e-mail folders: about 5 megs. They have nearly all of the features that any other e-mail server has and as not many people use it, you don’t have to use a really obscure username. They keep you updated without overdoing it. The site is also pretty fast.
Advantages: phone pay connection - speed not too bad Disadvantages: How much more info do the banks need to know

Advantages: Fuss free service, straight forward and simple to use Disadvantages: Perhaps, security checks are a little to lax
I have banked with Barclays sine I was 16 and have generally encountered no problems. however, you may find that interst rates with their accounts are very low, so if you're looking for high interest rates you are definitely better off going elsewhere.
the online banking is very easy to register for and very efficient. although not overly strict on security there are sufficient procedures in place so that your on-line account won't be hacked into ... ...As a bank, it's reputation is well estabilished but competition is so fierce out there that barclays will need come up with some more innovative stuff to win more clients and keep it's existing ones.
Nice fuss free banking for those who don't ask for too much. ...
