I am a big fan of Kathy reichs - particularly because her descriptions are, although often stomach churning, more than realistic, due to her experience in that line of work in real life.
Kathy Reichs is a forensic anthropologist working for both the State of North Carolina, and for the province of Quebec. This additionaly adds a little "aspect francais" to all her books.Based on this experience, she has succeeding in writing the best and most gripping novels that I have ever read. I especially like her books since there is a good mixture of science, brutality and love in the stories - you will know what I mean when you read any of them.
Bare Bones is just one of a number of books which she has written. Looking forward to a well earned break (with current heart throb) things turn sour:First the newborn skeleton (the grand child of an old friend) was found in an oven.
Then an aeroplane flies into a rock face , killing the passengers, and covering them in a suspicious substance and finally yet more bones, of uncertain origine are found in the countryside......
This really is worth reading!
