***ABOUT PRIME TIME*** Prime Time is made by Bare Escentuals who are well known for their foundation called bareMinerals. This foundation looks like a powder but has the results of a liquid foundation and is composed with 100% pure bareMinerals with no additives and zero irritants.
Prime Time is a foundation primer which can be used on the face to create the perfect base ready to apply foundation. It also helps to combat flaky dryness, fine lines, excess oil and enlarged pores. This is a mineral fused formula which simply glides onto the skin without a tacky feeling with provides a smooth base for a flawless face.
The primer itself comes in a white bottle with a black pump style lid. It also has a plastic cap to cover the pump part of the bottle and the writing on the bottle is a dark grey colour. If gives you information such a directions on how to use the product. This pump bottle then comes in a white and dark grey box with the same information on it.
***USING THE PRIMER*** From the very first day of using this primer I followed the directions on the packaging which was to apply one pump for an even layer all over your face to create a smoothing finish.
When using this I applied one pump onto my hand and simply took what I need and applied to my face. This comes out clear and has no smell to it. When rubbing this into my face it felt a bit dry and I thought it felt a bit strange as you can’t really feel this glide onto your skin at all, so it’s quite hard to tell where you have already applied the primer. I paid special attention to dry areas on my face and to the area under my eyes and on my nose as well as I sometimes get dry patches here.
Although it didn’t feel as though I needed to wait to allow this to dry I simply waited for 5-10mins just to be sure and then applied my foundation on top of the primer. After finishing applying the foundation and finishing off my look for the evening I did notice that my face looked smoother and there was better coverage. The dry patches on my face had also been smoothed out as well and I couldn’t even notice them.
I have to admit that I only ever use this primer when I have photo-shoots and on a warm day this lasted well. My foundation didn’t budge and it stayed put through-out the shoot. (Please bear in mind I was working outside under-neath the sun). I notice that sometimes when working in the heat my face can look a bit shiny in places but when using this primer I find that this no longer happens.
***PRICE/AVALIABILITY*** I haven’t seen this product available to buy in shops but it can be bought online from www.beautybay.com and costs £14.99 for a 30ml bottle of primer. This primer is available in one size only. You can also buy this on eBay shops as well which are brand new and in sealed boxes. This is where I bought mine form and it cost me about £14.99 and was free postage.
***OVERALL OPINION*** This product was gentle and kind to my skin and was very simple and easy to apply. This primer is some-what cheaper than other branded primers you can buy in shops and I think it works just as well as other brands. As this product doesn’t contain any additives and irritants it would also suit people who suffer from sensitive skin as well. It did a great job of smoothing out dry, rough patches on my face and also made my face looked flawless as well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
