Barry M Lip Paint Pillar Box Red

Barry M has become my favourite make recently because of its absolutly brilliant, vibrant colours and price. I bought this lipstick after trying it out on the back of my hand and I found, as always, the colour was to die for. However, in actual use its doesn't stay on for very long, in fact its staying power is hindered by talking, drinking and even smiling.
The packaging of the product is sturdy and hard-wearing, and looks chic and for a young buyer. It also clicks into place well so is handbag friendly. The lipstick is easy to apply although it takes a few good strokes before it becomes really red on the lips. The initial colour is fantastic - very old-fashioned movie star glamour, and quite matte which makes it look young and fun rather than cheap.
The product looks fantastic at first, and I often wear it if I know someone will be taking pictures, however its not really suitable for a night out or a shopping trip because it last about half an hour before it starts to crack on the lips and fade. It is also the main culprit for any lipstick marks left on a cup! However, when used with another product over the top (such as a clear balm) the lipstick does last longer and does not appear as 'dry.'
Overall, I would reccomend the lipstick solely because of its great colour and unbeatable price, however I would also caution any potentail buyer that it does need lots of reapplying and is not the best on the market for a lipstick with real stay-on power.
