Advantages: moody, groovy Disadvantages: they don't play the whole song
...The Caffrey's, a storm brewing advert was always a favourite, and it took me a while to work out why. Was it the beautiful people and cinematography, the great camera work or the tension...no it was that tune. I used to wait for it to come on and turn it up full blast, but what was this illusive piece of music. It was not till the matrix included it in their sound track that I discovered it is Rob D - Clubbed to death, and is availible to buy in it's full length on that very soundtrack......ahhhh a sound (and a taste) worth waiting for....

Advantages: Nicely styled Disadvantages: They only made two versions
...The storm brewing advert sticks in my mind mainly because my ex-girlfriend knew the one of the blokes in it!
I have to admit I like beer adverts...the better the advert, the more likely I am to drink their beer.
For instance, I hate the John Smiths adverts with the cardboard cutout and sub-conciously avoid drinking John Smiths whenever possible.
However, I like the Caffreys adverts and so I find myself buying Caffreys above all other cream-flows.
However, that is also down to the fact that Caffreys is the nicest of the cream-flow beers. I used to drink Calders Cream Ale, but that suffered a dip in form. So, I switched to Caffreys which is consistantly refreshing. It doesn't have that metallic taint that a lot of cream-flow beers suffer from and doesn't leave your mouth feeling like you've been licking a cat's back.
The cans aren't bad...

Advantages: Beats a lot of lagers for my money Disadvantages: Metallic to the taste
...Continuing my role of creamflow beer opinions, Tetley is the next to get the poodu treatment.
The adverts weren't anything special from what I can remember...or maybe I'm mixing them up with the Worthingtons ads...can't remember!
The beer itself is drinkable, certainly. Given the choice between Tetley smoothflow and any lager I would go with the Tetleys. However, put up against the likes of Calders Cream Ale or Caffreys and it's gonna lose out. It even loses out to Worthington!
The thing that stands out most about Tetleys is that it is quite metallic to the taste. This is a common trait in the smoothflow beer department and one that is quite indicative of quality.
Whether draft or from a can, Tetleys is drinkable, but only if there is no realistic alternative. You wouldn't drive to town expressly to buy something different...
