Thundering Basslines and cool looks

Advantages: Great looks, great price, good build quality
Disadvantages: A little 'neck' heavy but just takes a bit of getting used to

...and 6 string basses, the Epiphone Thunderbird provides some of that 70's mystery at a price that still affordable. Combining cool looks with above average build quality for the price, the Thunderbird bass provides a deep rumble to an outfit. There is nothing refined about this bass, which is not always a bass thing. Its unlikely you'll be playing smooth jazz grooves in this but put your strap down low and grab a pick and you're away. Tones controls ...

Best Beginners Bass Guitar. Period.

Advantages: Great Looking, Smooth Neck, Good Sound.
Disadvantages: No Active Pickups

...older style that the one Ibanez now advertise and sell, so mine doesnt have the Phat II EQ Bass Boost control that newer models now come eqipt with. The body is Agathis, which is not a great wood for guitar bodies, but ibanez use it well to get the best out of it. All basses/guitars in this price range use it, as it is the cheapest musical wood. This wood is a relative of true mahogany and gives nearly the same tonal characterists. Warm lows with ...
...this bass is very impressive. Ibanez are famous for thier hard rock stylings, and my bass is the jet black colour. It looks supersleek, and with a little cleaning it is possible to get the finish looknig as good as new, even after a year. All the hardware is silver, which looks more modern that gold, and it goes well with the instrument. There are a few slight problems I have had with mine, and I'll go through them here. My tonal control for the ...

Good value for money

Advantages: Good sounds, playability
Disadvantages: Basic appearance

This was the first bass guitar i ever owned and i think that it is a perfect place to start. It is great value for money and although it isn't really anything special, it is very reliable and sounds good. The build quality is good and i have not had any problems with this guitar. All of the hardware is is of high quality including the pickups which have a good range of sounds. The action was a little too high when i got it, but once i had lowered ...

My luvverly cherry red Washburn bass.

...- even better. The Washburn XB120 has twin pickups, two tone controls and a volume control, with a connection for the plug at the bottom of the bass. The neck is a lot thinner than my old bass too, which took a little getting used to but is actually much easier to move your fretting hand up and down. It is also a lot lighter, therefore easier to throw shapes to as you pretend that you really are Geezer Butler and you're laying down the groove to ...
...better E5150 with its distorted sliding tones). Ahem. But what about the sound, I hear you say, the most important of all? The gorgeous deep tones that run from the lower E and A strings compare really well with the sharper sweeter higher notes on the D string and ring out wonderfully on the G, as I found out the other night putting down the theme tune to Coronation Street ha ha. The tone is rich deep and throbbing, and even my wife has complemented ...

First Bass that you couldn't forget

Advantages: Alder body, P/J pickup, nice warm and bright tone, versatile, very light, great playability
Disadvantages: so-so pickup quality

This was my first bass ,made in Indonesia, and i am still using it until now. In my opinion this is a great bass, even for an intermediate player. I played mainly alternative rock, japanese rock, and sometimes metal, and this bass suits me well. P/J pickup combination enabling me to create various kind of tone, even though the quality is not that good ( i would like to replace them with EMGs or Bartolinis ). The action, fit, and finish are very nice, ...
...no major flaws. The reliability also dependable, i 've played the instruments for one years and it had no problems at all. So the final judgment is: this is a great bass for beginner to intermediate player, compared to other bass in the same range price such as Squier , RBX 270 is definitely the best. A really first bass that you couldn't forget. Thats my review, sorry if my english kinda sux ^^ ...
