My luvverly cherry red Washburn bass.
Advantages: * Disadvantages: *
...- even better.
The Washburn XB120 has twin pickups, two tone controls and a volume control, with a connection for the plug at the bottom of the bass. The neck is a lot thinner than my old bass too, which took a little getting used to but is actually much easier to move your fretting hand up and down. It is also a lot lighter, therefore easier to throw shapes to as you pretend that you really are Geezer Butler and you're laying down the groove to ... ...better E5150 with its distorted sliding tones). Ahem. But what about the sound, I hear you say, the most important of all? The gorgeous deep tones that run from the lower E and A strings compare really well with the sharper sweeter higher notes on the D string and ring out wonderfully on the G, as I found out the other night putting down the theme tune to Coronation Street ha ha. The tone is rich deep and throbbing, and even my wife has complemented ...

Powerful, lightweight, wolf-in sheeps clothing
Advantages: Lightweight, powerful, active Disadvantages: Top-heavy, slightly fragile
I'd been on the lookout for an acoustic-electro four string bass guitar for some time when I happened into a small music shop in Worthing, Sussex, England (mostly to dodge a downpour). This tobacco-sunburst, florentine single-cutaway beauty screamed 'try me!' and whn I did I was impressed first with the incredibly light weight, particularly when compared to my 60's Fender Precision and my Acoustic twin-cutaway.
The AB20 was offered secondhand in ... ...which produced a warm, round thud both acoustically and amplified - just what my retro rock 'n roll band needed.
After the 'haggling session' I shelled out £300, took it back to civilization and used it that evening.
THe bass features an active, piezo output with both jack and XLR inputs.
Plugged in and rocking I was blown away by the POWER of this beauty.
The combination of the EQ and the acoustic body enables solid, clear bass tones which rang ...

Seriously good kit
Advantages: Everything really - mostly the way it looks, sounds and how well made it is Disadvantages: The chrome pickups can get in the way a bit...
I am moving up in the world of Bass Guitar playing, and really it was time for me to take a step up from my cheap beginner bass.
The first thing to do is to consider manufacturer, for me the choice was easy - all of my favourite bands bass players use them - Ibanez, well respected amung the music business I didn't really look any further than Ibanez.
Obviously I wasn't ready to move into the £500+ bracket, so I lowered my sights and found this. ... ...up I headed to a music shop to give one a go.
What a sound, really - the sound is fantastic, it's not just a bass sound there is real tone and sound quality to it. Everything feels so well made and looks it too - the volume and tone knobs (of which there are 2 volume and a tone) are designed to look see through side on and silvery from front on, very nice touch. Also the huge chrome pickups look fantastic, through in truth they can get in the way ...

Good value for money
Advantages: Good sounds, playability Disadvantages: Basic appearance
This was the first bass guitar i ever owned and i think that it is a perfect place to start. It is great value for money and although it isn't really anything special, it is very reliable and sounds good. The build quality is good and i have not had any problems with this guitar. All of the hardware is is of high quality including the pickups which have a good range of sounds. The action was a little too high when i got it, but once i had lowered ...

g4m bass guitar pack the best for a begginer and experienced
Advantages: sounds good, great price, good website, very playable, looks great. Disadvantages: gig bag not so good, strap not so good.

My guitar is red and the pack that I bought is as shown in the picture and the amp that comes with the guitar is also very good it has a variety of different functions it has a treble, ...
