Advantages: Good nite life, good economics dept
Disadvantages: crap halls

...From an acedemic point of view I can only really comment on the Economic department as I am a second year studying Business Economics BA. The department is very good, nice buildings, good lectures and lecturers. We also were rated 24/24 for teaching in the economics department a few weeks ago putting us surprisingly equal with the likes of Warwick , Leeds and Cambridge. Halls were disappointing in the first year, I lived in Villiers, an old 60's style building. However by the second year you should have your own place and then you can choose what you like for a far cheaper price. The night life in Leicester is good, whatever you are into, drum n bass, garage, hard house, hip hop (Im stil recovering from Bubble love at the university!), its all there. ...Warwick is great. Despite the fact that I left after 2 years, I would recommend Warwick university to anybody. However, I think the quality and consistency of courses varies like you wouldn't believe and some courses are not right for certain people, but that is the case for all universities. I would, however, make sure you know exactly what your course entails before you start. The first year at Warwick is great. There is always something going on at the union and someone is always having a party. Monday night = Top Banana (full on cheese, bit of a meat market, but always good for a laugh), Tuesday night = society night (drum n bass, brass bands, hip hop, anything you like really), Wednesday = Decadance (80s), Thursday = Mojo(Drum n Bass, Hip Hop, Funk), Friday = (Charts, Handbag House), Saturday = Quench (used to be called Culture... Advantages: Great place to live
Disadvantages: not always that supportive

...', but the libraries are good, the computer suites are great, and the students are lovely. To be fair, its all worth it to be living in such a great place. Brighton has something for everyone, and is very tolerant of all 'types' of people. It has music for everyone, on the whole it divides into r&b or Indie, but there is really everything from world music to drum and bass to hard house. It is quite expensive to live here, not much different from London really, but it's a wonderful place to belong to.................ahhhhhhhh.........can you feel the cheesy smile?!... Read review
