Reviews of Bath Spas »

No I haven't been eating beans.

Advantages: Relaxing, Cheaper than a new bathroom suite, easy to store
Disadvantages: Noisy, doesn't stop the kids needing the loo.

I have had my bath spa for a couple of years now, a gift from hubby, when I started having major problems with my knee; the physiotherapist said it would help. *What is it?* Well the version I have consists of a rubber mat with loads of tiny holes in, which attaches to the bottom of the bath by way of suckers. It is then attached to a pump, which stays out of the bath by a hose (not dissimilar to the outlet hose on a tumble dryer, though much thinner). ...
...the bathroom for safety reasons. When the pump is switched on it pushes air through the hose and then through the mat causing a cascade of bubbles up through the water. I also received in the pack an inflatable bath pillow, which doesn’t attach to my bath properly as the bath is scalloped at the head end, and a remote control for changing the intensity, and volume of the bubbles, it is also used to turn the Spa off. *How does it work?* Basically ...

Great product

Advantages: Relaxing treat
Disadvantages: You have to get out of the bath eventually

I bought this back in 2002 and it has served my family and I faithfully. We usually recommend it to our house guests as a relaxing treat. I use it almost every weekend. The downside to using it it that you have to get out of the bath eventually! It is easy to mount and operate. It is supplied with a lengthy power cable with a RCD Circuit breaker which guarantees a safe operation. The jets are very powerful and you will feel its effects on you muscles. ...

forever blowing bubbles

Advantages: is a pleasant relaxing sensation. good value
Disadvantages: gives better bubbles in a shallow rather than a deep bath.

...be worth it. The Babyliss 8025 Rechargeable Bath Spa became an addition to my papering quite a bit back and it’s worth the £18 I paid for it. I haven’t got the packaging for this any more but I’m sure I can remember all the main bits and bobs, and I can defiantly tell you the good points and the bad. The Babyliss 8025 is a aqua blue and white plastic water jet spa. It has 2 directional jets which you can adjust so the water streams give the most ...
...and as it’s made by Babyliss its pretty well made and durable although inexpensive. My experience of using it: -------------------------------- I like deep bath water, and as I have a good old-fashioned bath I can soak up to my chin if I choose. The bath spa unfortunately isn’t as flexible. To get the best effect it need to be close to the surface of the water. If it’s in too deep it doesn’t act so much as a spa, it circulates the water. This ...

All bubbled up

Advantages: Relaxing
Disadvantages: Flex not long enough, too much hassle to put together

I received this as a present at Christmas and at first used it regularly but in the end I found it too much bother to fix it all up everytime. The main machine looks a little bit like a hand held vacuum cleaner with a two metre hose that attaches to it. Its white and light blue in colour, very light weight and has a led display on top giving speed: Hi Med and low and Timer 60 30 and 15 also a power display light. It has suction pads at the back ...
...move but I wouldn't recommend it just it case it falls in the bath! (knowing my luck)! It also has screws and fittings to fit permanently to the wall, I haven't still waiting for male species to do this, if he did, I would probably use it more (yes I know do it yourself and all that, I haven't got a drill, that's my excuse) It comes with a 2m flex which doesn't go very far bearing in mind there are no sockets in the bathroom so out comes the extension ...
