Advantages: Nice looking products which lure you into the shop Disadvantages: Poor quality products with non-standard fittings, rubbish after-sales. Essentially cheap and tacky products with high price tags, fooling you into purchasing with generous sale offers.

Problems started in earnest when the fitting started. No cisterns, which I then had to buy from another supplier. The wrong cistern fittings. Cistern lids which didn't fit the toilet. Bath plug mechanisms which didn't work. Bath panels with the wrong fitting kits. Showers with non-standard fittings, with no converters available (my bathroom fitter improvised with a gas fitting supplied by a plumbing merchant, along with a few of his own bits and pieces). Shower heads with no bracket fittings to attach them to the tiles. Sinks with brackets too small to hold the basins on the walls. Shower cubicles which took 4 people to force them into place when they should have slotted in easily. Everything basically needed fitting twice. The installation costs trebled against the original estimate because the products are essentially poor quality and not provided with the parts needed to plumb them in properly.
There is a complete lack of after-care: a technical helpline whose purpose seems to be to state the obvious and be of no help at all, even confirming, when I double-checked, that the cistern fittings we had been supplied with were correct - only to have them leak water all over the bathroom subsequently. Bathstore's corporate structure makes the store responsible for all the problems that the rest of the company generates - yet the store appears to be completely powerless to resolve any problems. Orders are subject to a collection and delivery cycle which delays any attempt to correct the problems they have caused, and there is no-one to appeal to beyond the store manager.
I ordered in September and am still without a fully functioning bathroom at the end of December. I am now in the process of sending back half the order: I'm going elsewhere for a lot less cost and hopefully less hassle.
For all their nice shops and good-looking products, Bathstore are utterly awful beyond the point where you've parted with your cash. Don't be tempted in: do a bit of online research and get your bathroom from elsewhere.
I bought a shower head and arm from the BAthstore that needed fitting urgently as our existing one had a fault. I chose bathstore due to their delivery promise on their website - and of course how hard can it be to just send out a simple shower head - pretty hard it would seem from my experience. So, I received my delivery the next day as promised however they had sent totally the wrong item, and the item was incomplete at that!
After much phoning ... ...would definiately have the correct one with me within three days (they couldn't explain why it would not be next day as had originally been promised)
I phoned up the Bathstore on the morning of the delivery to find out the expected delivery time. They were not able to give me a time as it is all done by courier - I found this very hard to beleive as I deal with couriers all the time and they can always give you at least an estimated time of delivery. ...

...naturally quite delighted when a bathstore.com opened in Gateshead (on my doortep. After all, it's MUCH easier to select something if it's real and not virtual.
So, armed with hubby, off we went for a little look around to kit out our almost ready shower room in the loft conversion.
The new showroom has been located in a purpose built new building, with plenty of parking, and close to a cafe and other shops, so thumbs up stright away.
Inside, ... ...a good range of products on offer. the staff were friendly but not overly so, and showed a reasonable knowledge of the products.
Enjoying ourselves? I think so.
We knew what we wanted, and since we needed only a shower, sink and toilet with cistern, we couldn't go wrong
How wrong we were.
Sometimes it's just too difficult to make up your mind when there is too much choice.
So, we picked up the bathstore book. Great glossy brochure advertising ...

Advantages: Looks sylish at first..... Disadvantages: Very poor loo seat fixings. VERY, VERY POOR QUALITY LOO SEAT MATERIAL USED..
...a week its back.
Emailed Bathstore.com about this problem but again because the one year since purchse was up they said there was nothing they were prepaired to do!!!!
We just hope they might take this on board and review the type of material they use in the prodiuction of the seats and use somthing that never stains!!!
We're not sure where to go from here as these seats are really the only ones that go with the WC!!!!! AGHHHH!!!

More people who have had a bad experience will make the effort to write a review than those who have had good service, but I shall try to be balanced.
Bathstore was appealing for a mid-market bathroom, as in the sale it was slightly cheaper than competitors such as Homebase or B&Q, and its range was wider. I bought the big sanitary items (sink, loo, bath) as it is expensive for accessories (taps, shower screens etc.). Sales and marketing are good ... ...made ordering easy. I bought the Victorian Savoy suite from a Central London showroom. Delivery was on time, but be careful as Bathstore use single-driver lorries, so you must have help to carry big items. And the driver will not lug any items inside the house, only to the doorstep.
