I've been looking for a dry shampoo like this for a while but thought they were all out of my price range, as I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that wasn't any good. That was until I saw a review on here, stating how good it was and also the price - £1.99. For this price, I thought you couldn't go wrong really, because if it ended up being rubbish, it hasn't exactly made me skint, so I thought... why not? I read some more reviews on it, and the majority of them had got 4 to 5 stars.
So the next day I went in to boots, and searched the store for it. Once I had found it, it was priced at £2.09, so me, being the cheap skate that I am, went across to Superdrug and found it in there for £1.99. It's in a srapy can in a similar size to hairspray with a pull-off lid and comes in a 150ml size can, but I don't think you can buy smaller or larger versions.
WHAT IS SAYS It states on the can that it "revitalises greasy, dull and lifeless hair between washes. Instantly leaves your hair feeling clean, full of body and smelling clean. Quick and convenient to use wherever you are."
TRYING IT OUT I tried this product the following day after I brought it. I brushed my hair as normal and used this before I styled it. I shook the can VIGOUROUSLY (as it stated on the can) and sprayed it approx. 30cm away from the roots of my hair. After I had finished, it looked like I had tipped flour on my hair, but the white stuff dissapears after you start to massage it in to your roots. I left it for two minutes before I started massaging it in with my fingertips. When I first started rubbing it in, it felt cold on my scalp. I found that it left a white patch on my parting and I had to tip my head upside down to properly rub it in. I could instantly see the difference in the outcome of my hair. I would definalty not say that it made my hair look like it had just been washed and blow dryed, but it did make it appear less greasy and more clean. It left my hair smelling fresh. I would say that it is a similar smell to hairspray.
Personally, I would say that you start to see the effects about 10 mintues later, once the product has absored more grease. This was definalty the case on my hair.
I did find it difficult to spray it on the back on my head, and this is wear my hair is greasiest the most in the mornings. It would be easier if you had someone to spray it on for you, as they would be able to see what they were doing!
OVERALL For the price of this dry shampoo I would definalty recommend it if you don't have time to wash your hair in the morining or your hair just needs that extra boost to make it appear cleaner. This would be a good product to take away camping with you or to a music festival, when clean water supplies are limited!
