Batman: Arkham City (Collector's Edition) (PS3)

Introduction

Batman Arkham city is Rocksteady's latest batman action adventure game. It's the Sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum. Batman Arkham city was realised for Windows PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. This is a review for the PS3 Collectors edition of the game. This game has been on my list of most wanted games for the year 2011 and I was very pleased to finally get my hands on the game after what seems like a long wait.

== My opinion ==

Wow is what I have got to say, just wow I mean this is one of the best action adventure games that I have played all year. The first thing I want to talk about is how good the games world is. The game is set is Gotham city and part of the city has been turned into a prison called Arkham city and your job as Batman is to take the law and order into your own hands.

== Gameplay ==

The gameplay is remarkable similar to Batman Arkham Asylum, apart from the fact that they have improved upon it. The flighting uses the same easy to use system in the fact that timing is everything so once you have mastered getting the timing right then you will become a expert at fighting and it's one of the most rewarding systems that can be used.

I like what Rocksteady have done with the gadgets I feel that they have added a great new selection of gadgets and they have made it really easy to be used whilst in a fighting situation and some of the bosses need to have a gadget used upon them whilst fighting so sometimes you have to think rather than just button bashing.

There is great detail in what there is too do I say this in the fact that there are things called “Riddler challenges” and in these you have to use your head and solve the challenges that Riddler has placed for you. Some of them are easy and can be solved by just playing the game for the first time but there are afew that you need to really think about to solve. It's a good addition to what is already compelling gameplay.

Storyline

The storyline is very good it uses a lot of charters from the Batman series, I don't want to spoil it for you but I will say that it kept me entertained for over a week and it's better than Batman Arkham Asylum’s storyline and I feel that was a amazing storyline too.

Graphics

I like the atmosphere that Arkham city gives off the environment is very detailed, it's huge you can leap from building to building and then you can glide down to waves after wave of rogues.

Overall

I would say that this is one of the game games of the year 2011 hands down, I really like playing as Batman and this game does that for me. If you are a Batman fan or not I recommend this game to you because you will get immersed into the game.
