If there's any way that the lads can cheat, they will. I guarantee it.
Basically it is a very simple concept - the team whose turn it is is read out a statement by the other team about their sex. For example, the girls would read to the lads a statement about how women think or act - it's generally related to sex/relationships in some way. The men then just have to say whether or not they think that this statement ... more

The lads seemed to have problems understanding the simple rules and argued with us for ages before the game was allowed to commence. One word of warning - make sure that you are head strong before playing this game. If there's any way that the lads can cheat, they will. I guarantee it.

For example, the girls would read to the lads a statement about how women think or act - it's generally related to sex/relationships in some way. The men then just have to say whether or not they think that this statement is true or false. (Arguments galore for this part - they argue that it's a setup...)
There are also other parts of the board that are a little more complex than that though. One is to try and guess a famous couple or a film (this is for both teams) and the other is a sort of quick fire round. The team who is playing must choose one of their own players and one of the other team's players to be involved with this task. Once chosen, they take it in turns to give answers to a question that is read out - 'farmyard noises' for example. The one that hesitates for more than three seconds loses and the winning team gains points.
All in all, this game is great fun and I would recommend it to liven up any party! Have fun!
Advantages: good fun Disadvantages: can get boring if played too often
The battle of the sexes. The ultimate game to find out which gender will win. Will it be the brainy boys or the genius girls? Play the game and find out!
I am quite young, but I recieved this game of an Auntie for a birthday present. I believe it was quite expensive, well especially for this kind of game, but it was well worth the money.
The main aim of the game is for the males to answer questions on the females and vica versa. The questions range ... ...This game is many suitable for adults although mid teenagers might enjoy playing it. It doesn't contain any material thats too out of order, it just has a few laughs.
I recommened you play the game as it really is fun. So battle it out and win for your side! ...

Advantages: good family fun Disadvantages: needs updating with recent films
This is another good family fun game for playing at home on dark winter nights! It is based on the movies and film knowledge but you don't need to be an absolute film buff to enjoy it.
The aim of the game is to move round a film reel shaped board by answering questions about films in order to make the final cut and ultimately win the game. The board is quite versatile as it can be folded in or out to make a shorter or a longer game depending on how much time you have to play.
There are four playing pieces so four people could play individually but we normally find that it is better and quicker to play in two teams. This usually turns into a 'battle of the sexes' when playing with friends! The playing pieces are interesting as they resemble things associated with the movies such as a camera, clapperboard and popcorn!

Ciao reviews all hate this game, whilst usually I can understand why reviewers might hate something, this time I have no idea, maybe they need better friends.
Anyway ...
Like a lot of people I like 'Friends' and when I saw the board game based on the episode where there was a quiz between the girls and the boys I thought the game might be a bit of fun.
And as my female friends were going through a phase of men-bashing I thought the best way to solve it was via the gift of 'game'. 'The Battle of Sexes Game' looked a bit too obvious and I thought they wouldn't take the bait so the 'Friends' game seemed a subtle way of just focussing their angst.
And so on a Friday night in my house we set up what is essentially a very basic game. There is no board, no counters. There is a panel stand and a load of questions and that is pretty ...
