Battlefield 1943 is, in my opinion, the best arcade (1200 MS points, or £9.99) fps avaliable on the Xbox360. I would go as far as saying its better than some full price retail games.

Advantages: Very good for an arcade game. Amazing Value for Money Disadvantages: Very small amount of maps (4) Little variation in maps.

The scenery is nice and the explosions are something that have to be witnessed for yourself. One memorable thing is the plumes of smoke can be seen billowing from tank and building remains after they have been flattened by the overhead planes. Its quite impressive to look down upon something like that, not too long however as you would be an easy sniper target.
* Sound
The sound from the weapons are average however and are fairly ordinary, but the explosions are crisp and fearful. Also the effects from nearby explosions causing your soldier to lose hearing momentarily is quite impressive, it all adds to the general experience.

There has been another gametype added recently called "Air Superiority", however, since it involves only flying the planes avaliable in the game I personally don't rate it very highly since the planes are fairly hard to control.
In summary if you own an Xbox360 then this is a very good purchase. You're life doesn't depend on this game but its still very good for the price. I just feel that the only thing that is missing is a European Campaign rather than just the Far East one, since most of my favorite maps from Battlefield 1942 (PC) were in Europe.
