Not the original Battlefield FEEL

I was a huge fan of the Battlefield series, especially Battlefield 2 on the PC which was really fun, then moved onto Bad Company, 1943 and Bad Company 2 which were fun to play on the PS3. However when playing the game on the console, you never get that original Battlefield atmosphere.
The game wasn't a huge disappointment don't get me wrong, I still played it and enjoyed the new environment destruction, but the game lacked one major thing that previous games had. Big open environments, much like a real battlefield, where you would make up your own tactics and work as a team. The game levels feel closed bringing back the feel of COD which makes you feel trapped. The game has become too fast paced, you die to quickly and respawn and die again. I preferred the more slow moving and tenseness of the original series, then sudden huge gun fights across landscapes, where everyone worked together.The reason for this is because its on a console with a very limited number of players. It's a great game if you have a COD attitude and just wanna pick it up and play, but be warned the rounds can get very long and you will have to last till the end to progress.
As for the realism, it's a huge step up from COD. Sometimes you might find yourself cornered, then the sudden whizz of a bullet might surprise you. The sound effects are as real as it gets. The graphics aren't bad too, and the destruction is fun to watch.Who is the game for? Someone who likes shooting games, hardcore COD fanboys won't like this. Someone who has never played Battlefield should give this one a go as it is a breath of fresh air compared to your average shooting game.
