The reason for writing this opinion is to warn any potential purchasers of Whirlpool and the other makes they look after including Bauknecht and Ignis equipment. The Customer Service Department appear to have no idea of the concept of Customer Care.
I phoned to report the problem, they had already decided that it was not there fault, but they made me go out and waste time getting quotes anyway.
No concept of the customer is always right; their Engineer said he didn’t do it so basically tough on the poor customer.
No one returned my calls or emails; I had to keep phoning over several days before I got to speak to someone.
Then the attitude was basically tough.
I do not have a problem with either appliance, but the after care service is absolutely dreadful. I will certainly never buy a Whirlpool...

Advantages: Excellent results, cheap, little to do, has timer so you can have a fresh 1.5kg loaf in the morning! Disadvantages: A little on the heavy side and the jug that comes free is as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike!
...A newish product to hit the electrical stores is the Bread Maker. A contraption where you can insert all the ingredients, and enjoy a loaf of freshly baked bread in your own home.
You cannot beat the taste and smell of fresh baked bread, and while you can savour the aroma whilst walking through your local supermarket, many small family bakeries are a thing of the past.
I purchased the Cookworks Bread Maker, model B6989, from Argos just before Christmas. It was a gift for my mum. She likes fresh bread and usually buys a crusty loaf once a week from her supermarket.
Mum has severe rheumatoid arthritis and loves to bake cakes, etc. when she is feeling well enough. Making bread would be out of the question, because it would be too painful for her to knead the dough, so a bread maker was an excellent idea.
