Baumatic BHD5/1 I

Advantages: nice looking
Disadvantages: terrible quality - lousy customer service

...I bought a Baumatic BT3500SS Range Cooker, and despite very light use, the main heating element has burned out twice in two years. The cooker is now out of warranty and Baumatic want a £75 call-out charge to replace the part. Despite explaining to them that there is obviously a defect in the cooker and that it is not fit for purpose, Baumatic don't want to know. short sighted customer service from Baumatic - the product looks very solid but obviously the components are shoddy. Despite the part itself still being under warranty, Baumatic insist that they will only replace the part if replaced by their own "qualified" engineer - hence the &75 quid callout for a part not worth £20. I wouldn't buy Baumatic again!... Read review

...absolute rubbish, the coating on the buttons started coming off within weeks, just after the labour guarantee ran out the element went. Baumatic wanted £88 for the call out, free part. the part on its own was nearly £30 but i got a generic for £12. when i took the element out the earth had never been connected. very poor quality, rubbish service. designed to break so they charge extortionate amounts of money for their service package. RUBBISH< DONT BUY BAUMATIC unless you have money to burn and can affored a new oven every couple of years. I also have a baumatic gas hob, looks great but has very poor heat control. A company with products as poor as this shouldnt be allowed to sell them at all... Read review

Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: Door, Top Tray

...We managed to get this dishwasher for £199 in the sale, so we bought the applicance more to do with price than anything else, but we have had no problems with it. It took us a while to realise that the top level have two levels and thats why we could not fit the plates in the bottom. We also had to tie pipe ties around the handles that hold the top level up otherwise everytime you pull the top tray out it would slip back down to the lower level. The door is a bit of a let down due to the covering being a sheet of alumimium, which I would not usually mind but my son can push this sheet slightly in and the noise it makes when it pops back in to shape makes you think he has damaged it, but he never has, but that might be due to the fact he get a telling off when he does it!! so he doesn't do it very often. You do get a good choice... Read review
