Baumatic BVC2 Domino Hobs

Disadvantages: complete rubbish

...absolute rubbish, the coating on the buttons started coming off within weeks, just after the labour guarantee ran out the element went. Baumatic wanted £88 for the call out, free part. the part on its own was nearly £30 but i got a generic for £12. when i took the element out the earth had never been connected. very poor quality, rubbish service. designed to break so they charge extortionate amounts of money for their service package. RUBBISH< DONT BUY BAUMATIC unless you have money to burn and can affored a new oven every couple of years. I also have a baumatic gas hob, looks great but has very poor heat control. A company with products as poor as this shouldnt be allowed to sell them at all... Read review

...I have recently purchased one of these to replace my old hob it's fantastic still cant get used to how quick it warms up i can now have a dinner party and prepare the food in half the time can highly recommend , also at the same time i got the oven for it as well both came with easy installation instructions it only took me thirty minutes to remove my old cooker and hob and fifteen minutes to install the new one that is how idiot proof the instructions are . The back left hob is a quick cook hob and can boil a saucepan of water in under three minutes to clean it i can recommend Astonish ceramic hob cleaner you don't get any white powder residue after it has dried... Advantages: Induction is a great technology, safe, clean,fast
Disadvantages: Worked for less than 3 months, no warranty in Ireland.

...This was my first foray into Induction Hobs. We were very impressed with the speed and particularly with the fine control of heating this technology gives. Everything that can be simmered, boiled or fried in a metal pot, worked a dream. The fact that the hob never gets too hot, makes for very tidy cooking and easy cleaning. The touch controls are great, no more plucking off dirty control knobs. Just remember if the hob is wet or geasy the controls stop working, just give the hob a quick clean with one of those super cloths and hay presto. There was a slightly annoying clicking noise on the lower power settings, but it fades into the backround of a busy kitchen. The BAD NEWS: The Baumatic B24 worked flawlessly for 12 weeks, then the main ring failed. then the residual heat "h" display started flickering then the cooling fan would... Read review
