Having been told the current manufacturer of my contact lenses had stopped making the lenses I need, I was offered an alternative.

I have heard of Bausch & Lomb and know that they are a reputable company. I was offered a months trial and was to return to see how I found them.

Compared to my previous lenses, these were very flimsy. They also were completely transparent which makes it difficult to see them, especially when you have lost them.

The next issue was putting them in. I found that it was a little more difficult to place them into my eyes. Every time I would close my eyes, the lenses would pop out. I did return to my opticians and was told that I should let go of the bottom eyelid first, and then the top one. He also told me that the numbers at the bottom of the lense should go towards the bottom of your eye. Right, I went home and tried to look for these numbers, but since I AM SHORT SIGHTED AND MORE OR LESS BLIND I CANNOT SEE THEM!!!!

Anyway, after following his advise I have found that they do go in a little easier, although not as easy as with my previous lenses. With my previous lenses I was able to put them in and take them out without a mirror! I also find that after many hours my eyes get very dry, and these lenses can become very uncomfortable after long periods of time (10+ hours)

To be honest I was perfectly happy with my previous lenses. In addition to this I still see my lenses available at online opticians so I am not sure If he was just lying to me about them having stopped manufacturing my type of lenses. However since I seem to be getting a little better vision than before I am sticking with these ones.

They cost me £56 for a 6 month supply, or 6 pairs
