Advantages Advantages An efficient boiler which provides heating and hot water instantly.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only one hot water tap can be supplied at any one time.

The original kitchen in our house was designed by a sadist. It was three metres square, with three doors and a large window on the only wall without a door. For more than twenty years I had floated various ideas to turn it into a reasonable kitchen, but they always ran aground on the rocks of there being far too many places where things couldn’t go and far too few places where they could. As always with these things the solution was very simple. Talking it over with my daughter one day she pointed out that the thing to do was to extend the kitchen by a metre and lose a door which was rarely ... more

Advantages Advantages Copes well with high pressure feed

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't cope at all with dirty water

We've had our Baxi Bahama for almost 3 years. It supplies 6-7 radiators with ease and due to our very high pressure water, can supply our thermostatic shower during a washing machine fill without much compromise. Our gas bill with this machine dropped by 33% when we ditched our old cast iron hulk, and the paint's peeled off the radiators, 'cos they've never been so HOT! The dust on the pipes under the floors smelled EVER SO cooked for the first week or so. The bathroom grew by 4 feet due to the absence of the hot water tank, and the header tanks were pulled out of the loft (we have direct ... more

Advantages Advantages More energy efficient, constant hot water

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It's very large

I have my new Baxi Boiler now and I have had it since 12th February 2012. before that I had had my old one for over 20 years and I was having a lot of problems with it because it wasn’t working at heating all my radiators up properly and it was banging and kettling and the boiler man said eventually I’d need a new one. The last straw came when I had to move in with my daughter when we had our cold snap as the heating went off altogether and I was very cold. I took the cats with me but they weren’t keen on moving house. The gas board gave me a quote of nearly £4000 including labour but we ... more

1 Star Quick review of Baxi Combi Boiler by Oxonian22 24/08/2008
We have had a Baxi Bermuda Combi Boiler for 8 years and it has proved to be one of the one unreliable disasters I've ever bought. Breaks down on average three times a year and every part in it has been replaced at least once. Common problems are intermittent hot water followed by no hot water at all. The contractors who I buy breakdown cover from are making a massive loss out of me. If I could afford it I would replace it now!
