Lost without the AA
Review of AA by
jonwhite
Advantages: Fast efficient service
Disadvantages: None
...I have only been a member of the AA for 3 years, longenough however to benefit from their share deal when they were taken over by Centrica, £245 worth of shares are now worth about £335. So for that alone I have ever reason to be thankful to the AA.
The benefits of their service became apparent to me after only a week after joining. I found my clutch non responsive on my way home after a long trip. With 4 children in the car everyone was feeling edgy after breaking down. The AA were with us within 20 minutes and had our car going again, sufficiently well to get the car into our local garage the next day, all within 20 minutes of arrival.
I was very impressed.
I have their roadside assistance, home start and recovery service and I cannot fault it. When my second car's suspension broke they came out and took the car at a time...

The 206 Touch: another "Sacré Numéro" ?
Review of Peugeot 206 1.4 by
Rijsel.Spirit
Advantages: body, comfort/handling, brakes, equipment (XT Pack delivery), satisfying performances
Disadvantages: noisy engine, consumption (unsteady), manufacturing (cockpit), roominess/boot
...Driving a 206 could be an unexciting experiment -there's so much on the roads-, but what a car it is ! Launched in '98, it's not one of the most sold cars in Europe for nothing !
I've owned myself a 206 1.4 XT for one year and half: it's a second hand car which belonged to my parents, they bought it new in September 2000. At that day, it has nearly 70,000 km, and I'm very satisfied of it.
Here's some technical features:
* 1,360 cc/75 hp petrol engine (8 valves), max. torque: 110 Nm @ 3,400 rpm - top speed of 170 km/h
* L: 3.83 m/l: 1.65 m, weight of 950 kg
* boot capacity: 245 l
* tank capacity: 50 l
* 175/65 R 14 tires (Dunlop SP10 3e)
This is a very pleasant car: effective engine, nice comfort and handling (but the seats are very firm), powerful brakes (ABS + EBD), precise hydraulic power-steering (diameter...
